I have said many times "if i have a rifle and no prop, i might as well not have a rifle" i kicked some deer up on my on my way out this mornin and made a fantastic shot at about 100 yards free hand thru some pines (may have hit some limbs that directed it just perfect but still) dropped her in her tracks

I did the first one... had issue with a couple of their questions and answers though. Like "What should you do with a gun's action before entering a vehicle or home" and "What is a hair trigger"

The first one i got 28 out of 30 but have issue with the two questions i missed.
"What should you do with a gun's action before entering a vehicle or home". Their answer was to open the action. I have never done that. I check a gun is empty at the range when I am done with it. Action closed and safety on. Never have I left an action open.

And also "What is a hair trigger". Their "both" answer and reasoning behind it was flawed. No trigger will ever go off with the slightest of touches. Ummmm no actually their have been hair triggers since early guns and these days target guys routinely like sub 5oz triggers....

The second one (locked and loaded)...28 out of 30 but to be fair two i got right were 50/50 guesses

Third (hunting rifles) i got 18 out of 20

Second quiz 26 for 30 some of the antiquities questions could be argued more than one direction, and one of the last, forgot to chamber as opposed to forgot to load it, really

Holy crap - a recoilless nuclear rifle? How is this a thing? And how did we not kill each other and the planet in the '60s? It's amazing we did not eventually come to nuclear war with the USSR.

Its an interesting device. Though not really what i would call a "gun" but rather it was shot out of a 105mm if i remember right.

Funny thing about them, and why they never got used, was the max range was only 3 miles. The blast radius and fallout was much greater than that. So by firing it the crew was basically killing themselves too!

About the size of a Dragon if I remember right. I've seen a couple in museums. The infantry museum at Ft Benning has one but I don't remember where the other was. Definitely a last resort weapon.

I recently got a 9mm smith and wesson m&P shield with a cerakote finish. It has after market sights, but I was wandering what you guys ran, I forgot what they are called (I think truglo), but my father has some on his Glock that are very bright at night.
Also what's a good conceal holster for it? I've done some searching but what do you guys mostly run?

I only saw a replica. Still a ton of history!

More history than I can find the my great uncle. I saw his discharge papers which stated 556 artillery unit and I know he was in the battle of the bulge. But there's hardly any info on his unit.

This is one I am going to have to get him alone so I can preserve as much as I can of his history!
