The wife drives a Gen 3 Prius. It's actually pretty damn quick in power mode. I love surprising people in it....especially truck owners. They're never happy about getting dusted.

It's the first 2 Prius gens that were slow. The G3 and G4 will walk most vehicles in a drag race when set in power mode. Power mode allows the CVT to really spool up the gas engine and tells the traction battery to over boost the drive motor. Lots of torque off the line.

 

My wife's Prius is built better than my truck. People are starting to put bro rims on them around here, I think that's all you can mod.

 

No way, some guy on TW put like a light bar and skid plates and bumpers I think on his. There's a build thread somewhere.

 

did you not check out the prius build page on here somewhere, the have offroaded that thing and were talkin about putting a turbo on it... come to think of it I may need to see if they want in on my group buy

Ditto. We're on our second Prius, a 2013 Gen 3, and it's also an impressive little car.
