Anyone here need stock mud flaps & skid plate off a 2013? Cleaning out the garage for an upcoming move.

 

Relocated the buckets forward of the axle. Went with longer shocks for more droop and uptravel.

 

Have you gotten a chance to stretch the legs with the shackle flip yet?

 

So, Santa was nice to me this year. I must have done something to deserve it.
Now, I just have to get it installed!
Finally, I will have onboard air and be able to air up all 4 at once.

Not to burst your bubble, but did you mean to get 24 volt pump? That won't work very well on your taco without some other modification.

No, it would work but at about 1/2 or less of the ability as the expected voltage of 24v is less than the current 12v system.

As far as electrical theory goes, there will be the same wattage required to run a 24v pump on 12v, 1 watt meaning 1volt amp. Cutting the voltage in half means doubling the amperage to keep it running. So if the 24v pump needs 10amps of power normally, the giving it 12v will make it draw 20amps. The extra amperage going through makes the wiring and motor get hot faster, and is dangerous for the fact that it can start a fire if it gets too hot. It can also lead to melting the sheathing on the wiring, including inside the compressor motor, causing a short, possibly burning out the motor, or best case, just blowing the fuse.

@drr no joke there. Most vehicles on the road today run on 12vdc, but there are some that run on 24vdc systems. Electrical equipment is not compatible from one system to another.

 

Military vehicles are all 24v I believe. At least the older ones are

 

Initially I thought I could air up all 4 tires at once however after your comments and doing research, it won't happen. I can sure air one at a time pretty fast though.

 

Not a good stretch... I'm going to tahuya in Jan sometime.. hopefully try their new rock garden

If you are doing a group trip, I would like to bring my truck along.

 

Or none at all Your Tacoma is 12v, that compressor is for 24v. You need a different compressor
