Got on the taco Christmas goodies train with some Weathertech's and the cupholders for the center console, which I already love. Can't beat a few extra creature comforts! Little late, but Merry Christmas TW!

So I finally got around to installing my new Fox 2.5 coilovers. They changed up the color of the remote resi which is rad because I was planning on painting it black anyways. I freakin love these shocks!! They ride sooo smooth and they look amazing. Especially with my new carbon fiber aprons I just finished. The front took me about 4.5 hours. (install tip: The top shock bolts are very hard to align, make sure to bolt those up first before sliding the bold through the bottom of the shock) I was solo but it would have been much easier with a helping hand holding the shock up while I aligned the bolts.

I have been running the ToyTec 5100 coilover for about 6 years now . They looked fine, but I was never impressed with the ride quality, even at extended coil setting it was still very rough ride on and off road. But $600 is a lot cheaper than $1,800 so they were fine for a budget lift. Kind of weird how the coil is longer than the fox set up.

My carbon fiber apron fit perfectly with the remote resi.

I also bought some 1” lifting blocks and fox 2.0 w/remote resi for the rear but was only able to install the blocks because the eyelets on the shock mount were the wrong part ( only took fox 4 months to fuck that one up LOL ) The hole is way to big and the rubber is too wide to even fit into the shock mount.

The coil can be shorter on the fox because it's preloaded more or I think that's what it means. There was a discussion about it somewhere on here that I read. More preload=more lift, but worse ride I believe

3" lift , blacked out led tail lights, I have 20x9 big blocks and 275/60 terra grapplers on their way should be installed late week next week
Installed the new carbon fiber grill to replace the stock grill that had paint chipped off from getting too close with a pressure washer And took off my mud flaps to get ready for my new wheels and tires

    nothing cool
Found a guy remodeling his kitchen and he was throwing away a nice laminated countertop. Used the Tacoma to haul it home. Added some legs to it for a cheap work area. Figured I can mount my vise there instead of drilling into my brand new Milwaukee tool cart.

I'm sure an SUV or even the back seat of a good sized car could fit the countertop. But it sure is handy having a truck to just throw stuff in the bed.
