Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I have found the solid axle crowd to be a bunch of lazy slack wristed rednecks usually who either talk down to you or don't know how to explain things to someone who is getting their feet wet.

Conversely, long travel crowds are the biggest raging douche bags ever with epic small dick syndrome. Each one is more concerned about being the hottest rig around than having a good time.

Your mileage may vary, of course.

full disclosure: I actually hate much of the off-road community. :D You guys are different.

    Kind of. :D:D:D

The thing about the solid axle crowd is that there is a great blueprint on how to get things done, depending on how extreme you want to go and how deep your pockets are.

I built my truck based purely on using the search function, without ever having to ask any questions. And I'm mostly happy with my build.

True. Kinda. There's something awful to be said about the horrible arguments that come up in ANY long travel truck's discussion. ugh At least the solid axle guys can stay civil.

The long travel crowd is pretty douche. They are pretty hard to hang out with over long periods of time. That's why I'm with a bunch of mildly built trucks.

Yeah, you're one of the biggest exceptions. There's a hand full of ya'll. I've noticed the exceptions are never very close to the obvious rainbow douches.

There are just too many options budget levels in long travel.

Solid axle is some basic shit that won't be held back by the 22re, or you can go extreme budget. Even then, you can build a beast relatively cheap if you put in the leg work to find tons at a good price.

I fluffed it up a bit because internets. I say I get along with about half of the long travel guys. We just criticize so much it will drive you crazy with long travel. Million different ways to go about it. It is nice to do a run with people faster than me which is every long travel truck bigger than mine.
