    Glad to help.

I took everything that was rubbing or had the potential to rub in the future. For me it was rubbing on the fender metal where that bolt was, so had to bend it back as well. No worries about losing the bolt, there is another one right next to it, and it hasn't crossed my mind since.

Do you know your caster? You're going to want at least 2.5 for these larger heavier tires, regardless of rubbing. I believe 2.5 is within spec too!

Swapping the springs is a pretty easy job. I didn't have the equipment but had a local shop do it in under 2 hours. I believe it's just a few nuts and compressing the spring. Definitely not something you'd need to send into Icon for.

Most of the time I couldn't tell a difference, but sometimes if I hit something hard it is definitely stiffer. Once more weight is added I think that will soften up.

My preload was ~2" driver and ~1.25" passenger with the original springs. Now I am a little more than .5" driver a little less than .5" passenger, and that has given me .5-.75" more lift in the front. The max preload is only 1" with the new springs however, so keep that in mind.

Basically you lose the need for an inch of preload, because the spring is an inch longer. And any preload that was required for weight is reduced because it's a heavier spring.

    Perfect thanks!

I gave up trying to get mine level. I think the driver side it considerably cranked higher than the passenger. And it still isn't level.

Good point about the reduced preload with the longer springs. I'll keep that in mind too.

Still kicking myself I didn't opt for the 700lb springs off the bat :frusty:

+1....I added an SSO bumper and 10k winch on my Icon Stage 2 and lost .5 inch in the front - am now getting some rubbing when the suspension is at full stroke in turns. Going to try to crank the coilovers and see how much I can get back but probably will end up with the 700 lb springs. Icon recommends only opting for the larger springs for the heaviest front ends/full steel bumpers, but I think even hybrid bumpers+winches (+steel skids) qualify into this category too...wish I had ordered those off the bat but got scared off by some of their posts elsewhere that "it would ride like a cement truck over railroad tracks"...

I was in the same boat. But again most people are used to the soft ride of the stock tacoma and a little firmer ride I guess impacts them in a negative way. I liked the Icon setup from the start it was a stiffer ride yet not gruelling over bumps. More control and less body roll, which I hate.

I have the ICON Stage 4 with 650lb coils. I just ordered full skids, sliders, and Coastal Offroad high clearance front and rear bumper.

May I ask you what your solution to this issue was? Did you end up going from the 650lb coils to the 700lb coils?
