Finally, after three days of trying to figure out the right parts for the job, got my new hi-lift jack (patriot edition!) mounted. I had previously gotten a loc rac for free from a gentleman on the forums, and I had to source the parts to get it rail mounted since it's not particularly designed for that. I ended up getting T-Slot Nuts from Dixie Tool Crib here in Austin. (Pro-tip for all you Austin guys wanting them, they have them.) Since they're 3/8" thread and the holes on the loc rac are 1/4", I had to do some drilling. Then I used 3/4" long bolts to attach the loc rac to the t-slot nuts and, lo and behold, it's mounted!



Edit: here's a picture of the item from Dixie Tools in case you want to grab some from them. There's 3 left as of yesterday.

I need an expert opinion here. I am looking at this U-bolt flip kit:

Would the longer U-bolts be long enough for an AllPro expedition leaf pack (3") and a 1.5" block?

Trying to make it work without buying everything twice.....














In theory it should: 3" leaf pack, 3.25" axle (according to the website) and a 1.5" block = 7.25"

 

Wont be here until March tho
