    Hello

I just bought the 17 Taco Off Road today. Just waiting on the dealer to deliver. I want different rims and tires; Nitto trail Grapplers 265/70/17 and 17" Fuel Hostage 3. Does anyone have pics of a stock height with those types of wheels/rims? Will I need to lift it or get a leveling kit? This is my first Taco...

    Thanks

    A

Based on just the sidewall numbers (actual tire OD will differ slightly) your new tires will be about 3% different, 638 revs per mile versus 659 for stock. Around 1" nominal diameter difference, as you'd expect for same width and aspect on a 1" bigger Rim. The truck will thereby ride maybe 1/2" higher.

So no, you don't need to change anything.

    So
So you don't think I need a leveling kit for the 2017 Taco?

Leveling kits are personal preference. If you think you need one, you'll think the same whichever wheels it's on.

Please note I don't know anything about those wheels w/r/t backspacing so they might rub or might not but diameter and width wise you're not really changing much.

265/70r17. No lift at the time. Running icon stage 1 now. Here are some pics with no lift. Set caster to 2.7-2.8 and there will be no rubbing issues.

She's a beauty! After placing those tire/rim mod, did you find your Taco to be a bit taller? If so, by how much?

    Thanks!

I literally got the text that my truck was in, went to the dealer, had them install these wheels are tires before I even opened the door to see the inside of it or started it up.

The truck was driven 4 miles (not by me) with the stock wheels/tires. So I have no idea lol
