Ok i read up on them... yes they are CNC'd knobs that are held in place by a small hex head screw. They come with the hex wrench so no worries on that.

They said your factory knobs should just pull off.

Yea I was surprised when i was tuning it. Took me only two adjustments on the antenna to get it there.

May try and get a 3ft someday, but for the moment will just keep the 4ft, have not had any issues with it, it just likes to whip back and forth a lot on the trails.

One day I will take a picture of this truck that anytime I see it he has the rocks lights on. Without fail.

Yea man, when you want to install one, let me know. I have the SWR meter to tune antennas.

 

It will make sense when you get the radio. The radio needs to be tuned to the antenna with an SWR meter for proper use. Low numbers are great.

 

Its Tyler... that is probably very modest compared to what you see on a daily basis there. I remember seeing the late 90's early 2000's model chevy trucks with the escalade conversion kits on the front.

i'm starting to wonder at what point springs get replaced and when one knows that it's time to replace. is it a handling thing? sag?
