I hate to hear that. I have had a few close friends walk the same path. It breaks my heart.
    Prayers up,
I'm sorry for your loss, and pray that strength be with his family

Good luck on the interview. Let me know if there is anything I can do

I'm pretty interested in doing this. A friend of mine would probably play navigator and keep us on time, but I need to talk to him to see if he's interested. It says all vehicles are welcome, and 30" tires minimum. I think you'd probably be fine in 2wd as long as there isn't anything too soupy. If you stayed in the middle it shouldn't be a problem.

30's minimum? We good. Lol. If we're serious about being competitive with this, I think I know someone with some 37" tsl's I could maybe borrow. ;)

Lack of Vacation time may kill it for me. Due to ankle and baby and FMLA I'm tapped out to 10hrs, I get 130 hrs reset in June but not soon enough. Planning on using time for LBL in March. We'll see, really want to do something like this. Be nice if a few KY/TN teams could go.

get a civic. I have an 06, 5 speed. I can't say that I LIKE the car (because I don't) but its never given me any reason to think I can't drive it cross country tomorrow. and it gets 36 mpg with the skinny pedal on the floor... I guess that makes up for the truck's lack of mpg's :D

So sorry to hear about your friend. The only up side to what is happening with vets is that it is FINALLY getting the attention needed to get the ball rolling. This has gone on since the beginning of war.... My service time was post Vietnam. Had a number of vets from that war to end their lives way too soon. One of my best friends in high school had a son that served in Iraq and a tour in Afghanistan. He came home, settled back into civilian life, seemed OK, then walked out of the house one day and took his life in the woods behind his home.

THESE GUYS DESERVE BETTER.....You serve the country, the country needs to step up and serve you when you need it.

There was a blurb on the news last week about a veterans crisis line the wasn't answering or retuning calls. It's shit like this that makes me think some people at the VA need a boot in there ass!

I was in from late 1975 until late 1979. After basic and AIT, I seldom left Ft Sill. Never heard a shot fired in anger. Never went out of the States. That said, I still expected what the recruiters promised.... They sold me a bill of goods for the most part. I can't complain much....But those who laid their lives on the line CAN and SHOULD complain.....LOUDLY.

Especially so with the people who go into combat, the country owes vets a lot. It changes your life. You are never the same again. Some rebound and have a decent life. Some don't. Anyone who agrees to go in the military during time of war should know that. You put yourself out there in harms way. But they should be able to depend on getting help when they need it. Not just a token "help", but reliable, cutting edge, best help available.

There's four 2014 or newer Focus's (Fuci's?) in town for less than $14k each. Can't say that for Civics. Doesn't look like I can do anything until next month anyway, so plenty of time to keep looking.

Focii or Foci, both are correct. a group together is a bland.
ex.) Look at that bland of Focii, must be a looser convention in town.
