Why bother trading it in if all you tow is not heavy. If you need the space that's one thing but I have towed up to around 5000 pounds and the Tacoma was fine doing so
Get a flexible antenna to put on that mount. Wilson, K40 and Firestick all make one

Definitely a possibility. The guys on the Sweptline thread are the slowest, but they're also probably the oldest. I can ask a question on a Monday and not get a response back until Friday, lol.

You're absolutely right, and that's why it might not happen, but I would like a bed that I can haul a sled in if I don't want to take the trailer. It can be done in the Taco but it's dicey with the wheel wells which a full size doesn't have. Also I have never owned a big, tall V-nose and in the wind it's a hair raising experience. Truck and trailer was all over the road and I would imagine a full size would be a bit better for that, but maybe not as much as I think?

Get a new wire for the CB mount, unless the one that attaches to the mag mount already has the pl29 or w/e it's called connector on it.

Define well-equipped. Mine came with an e-locker for the rear diff (and it engages in 2-lo or 4-hi!), power locks, windows (with one touch up and down for both fronts), power heated auto-dimming side mirrors, auto dimming rearview mirror, power seats, integrated trailer brake controller (with the plugs built right into the bumper), and some other ancillaries like sync, puddle lamps, etc. for $32.5 out the door. But, the truck booked for over $43. If I wanted heated seats or remote start I could have added them for some extra $$ but I opted not to because I'd never use either. If I wanted leather, power retracting steps, etc I'd have been looking at over $50 list.

And the 2.7 handled what I've towed so far without any problems, but so far it's just been a large bass boat and my tractor on a utility trailer. Neither one got anywhere close to the rating of 7500lbs, so it's no surprise that it handled them really easily.

I don't care for leather seats, and I definitely don't need heated seats but the air conditioned seats I would love. I want 4wd, obviously, and power windows and locks. Tow package obviously. Sounds like for under $40k I could do well. But probably going to stay with the Taco.

If you don't need more space or want something newer, there's no reason not to if it does everything you want. :notsure:

Look closely at the picture. 2 sleds in the 12' V nose trailer and 1 in the bed. 3 guys and all the gear to go with it. I had the 4 leaf pack with an AAL, no air bags Pulled it no problem at all. Only slightly nose high when everyone was in the truck.

BTW, Noel @Noelie84 saw me last year when we went all redneck with one in the bed and another in a small utility trailer

Yeah, with the tailgate up for some reason, if I remember correctly.

Geoff @jethro I was thinking about your trailer the other day. Your V nose is not side by side right? They are staggered when load correct?
