    Honestly I don't either. I just figured with the possibility of moving with the military I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. That thinking played out pretty well with me moving to Alaska soon haha

    You would end up having buttons that don't work. Everything else will fit though! I believe there is someone here on the forums who has done a write up in order to make the button function, but it wasn't easy if I remember correctly.

    Majority of the buttons will work....can't remember off top of my head but I'm pretty sure the only one that doesn't work is the voice input button, but I have a 2013 with the basic touch screen, idk about JBL if you have JBL. The controls also will NOT light up unless you add a ground pin/wire to the clockspring harness, which you can ground on the steering column with a convenient ground that's already there. If you search this thread for posts by me you can find where I posted a link to the thread with the details on how to do it. That thread I linked should also have part# for the required pre crimped pin with wire from Toyota.

    Were you able to find the thread for making this work? I am in the same situation with my 2012 with JBL. I don't mind losing voice control but I want the rest of the buttons to function if I do the swap. Anybody??? :pray:
