Soooo I know I missed the radio conversation yesterday. Those with a HAM license I would get a dual band radio. The Rubicon Trail is 100% completely covered by 70cm repeater. Plus, that repeater is linked to one in Placerville. I have been at Buck Island and talked to my wife (near Eastern Ave and Arden Ave) like we were standing next to each other.

I don't know anything about them that's why I asked. But why do you say boat power would be useless? I have three 12 battery's in my boat. again I was looking for advise, as I know nothing about HAM. Its all new for me. I will say the HAM cram wasn't hard to do. I have a call sign but I don't know shit. your help is much appreciated.
anther ? do HAM radios also have CB frequency's? Im sorry if my ? is dumb. I really need to learn more about this stuff. someday I will find time.

LOL, I did this once when I was working in Fremont. long commute daily from sac. early am was sitting in my truck waiting for the boss to show, went to pull the keys out and there stuck, I had a few seconds of panic before I turned the cab light on and realized it was in Drive. Never felt so dumb.

I hate those gas stations. the chevron I use to frequent switch to Safeway rewards. I don't shop at Safeway so now there gas is 35 to 50 cents higher then the others in that area. so ive stopped going to that chevron.

I miss shifting sometimes. then im off road and see guys stall ,over and over, and over. and im glad I have it. My wife refused to learn how to drive a manual so since she bought me my truck with cash she required it to be an auto. I cant argue with that.

I would but I need less backspacing so my hubs are inside the lip of the wheel as it sits they are almost flush with the outside of the tire= grinding selectable hubs on rocks.

If Vin offered a wider wheel with less backspacing I would run then. I can't get rid of these scs so I will keep them around with some AT tires for daily most likely. The center is bored out to fit my hubs so they won't work on any other stock tacoma.
