why doesn't do anything blower cams are ground with a long duration mine doesn't do it nor hardly whine and runs like a stripped assed ape. crack it in second and shift to third and hold on

Yea the problem with me is timing. Out the door before it starts which isn't a prob. It's a problem before it finishes. If I have no power do I shut everything down for 9 hours or let the gen run all day without no one there. I need to clean the drive before it freezes. always been unlucky with storms.

Out here all you hear is blower surge and a lot of people like it including myself . Now add in a locked rear axle and it's total eargasm !!!

My boys carb has an extra port to smooth out the surge so it idles smooth for the cam he has.
But it does sound pretty good. Good idle, good lope, and some whine for good measure.

 

I guess i didn't write clearly. I don't understand the big deal about the blower surge. Blower cams are ground with long durations actually giving it, at least mine, a fairly smooth idle. The blower surge provides no benefit,as far as I can see, so what is the purpose? The engine in the camaro idles fairly smoothly, has almost no whine, and runs extremely well. So what's the benefit?

I guess, not many of the blower cars around here, and there are quite a few, have this surge. Most run pretty smooth and strong as hell.

 

yea I know what your saying. I work second shift so if it snows early in the morning I can deal with it before work. late at night is a different story. we have been having drills thru the summer on how to check the oil, start, hook up the gen and what breakers on the gen panel to switch. all in case it happens and I am not there. 20 bucks I come home to a dark house. haha no my daughter hates the cold so she will make sure its done. In my case Mike someone is home. that is a tough call 9 hrs is long in the cold.
