Has anyone built a subwoofer box for their 2017 double cab off road? I have found tons of pics and forums for the 2016 and older, but the 2017 off road has the rear window slider motor in the way near the vents so wasn't sure if others have come across this and or addressed it yet

    Here's a pic of what it looks like2016-09-21 18.00.58.jpg

Did you ever come to any conclusions on a sub box?
Audio enhancers have a few options and there is a guy that I've seen recommended on here a few times for building custom boxes. Mr Marv

My New Year's resolution is to pick out a sub/amp combo and install the box I bought from *********.

I looked at that one but I was skeptical about how it could possibly have vibration issues in the plastic molding
I've got an alpine 10" that I don't believe meet the specs for that box either :(

@Mr Marv can build a box to the spec's of the subwoofer that you already have or plan to use. That's what he did for me

if you have a 2017 taco the only box we have that will work for now is the one pictured above.
we are currently trying to find a solution with the rear sliding window!

I did this setup with a 10 inch sub. Fit nicely in my 17.

Anyone know if the OEM Audio will work in the 17 Tacos? With the sliding rear motor, will their sub fit ok?

I can watch the taco tunes install videos all day long.

@Scarab the OEM audio sub will fit with ZERO issues.

You can also cut a second gen box to fit in there. Just hack off the upper portion on the back evenly and 1x4" fits in the hole perfectly. Clears the motor and vents and sounds just fine..

And I do have a new design for the '17 that accommodates the window motor. :)

I just had to make a tweak to the design after getting more info from my "beta" tester but it is available now. I haven't uploaded pics yet but you can text me for them and cost depends on design as well as sub(s) you will be using (I custom build each enclosure to recommended airspace specs for the specific sub to ensure optimum performance and cost varies accordingly)
