My 2016 DCOR factory setup was 265/70R16 on stock rims.
My truck is still all stock. No lift..Just 'as is'.
The speedometer has been 100% accurate.
I have been very disappointed with the oem goodyear tires, so today I made a decision...

I ordered the TRD 17" matt rims and a set of 265/70R17 tires.

Will this affect my speedometer and if so, is it adjustable with a trip to the dealer or do I just live with it?

Just curious as to what others have found or dealt with.

Maybe 1 MPH at highway speeds. No Issue!

Ah you're right, I read his post wrong, thought he was comparing 265/70/17's to 265/75/16's.

3% difference is between tire size isn't much, the speedometer probably reads low by about 5% as delivered anyway (most cars do).

    3.3% difference

I don't think it reads 5% lower. GPS says the speedo is accurate.

Well, if it's exactly an inch taller than it's precisely pi% different, but who's counting ;)

I actually got mixed up - most car speedometers read HIGH by a little bit, 3-5%. That'll be hard to notice when comparing to a GPS readout at normal car-driving speeds.

Negligible difference in that size. The delta would be most notable at very high speeds...speeds you should not be traveling at anyhow. What was wrong with the goodyear OEM tires? I have beat the hell out of mine and they've done great!!

Yeah the only way you'll ever tell the difference is when you run it for 100k with the tires you might have 2000 miles less? VERY ROUGH MATH but not much of a difference I can't put numbers together I just got hit with a lot last night going to be a long 9 months

Bro.. you don't need rough math to solve this. You need common sense.

And at 100k odometer reading with 265/70r17s you'll ACTUALLY have 103,300.

But it's pretty much at a 2.8-2.4% difference from the stock size that'd be 2.800 and so on

    Edit: someone said 3.3%?

3.300k miles less, I meaN this isn't stuff your going to calculate in your everyday mpg or your 3000k oil change lmfao

Your Post wanted to make me edit to a long 18 years :(

Embrace the inevitable. It is the opportunity of a life time. Make it your priority as nothing else will matter 40 50 or 60 years from now when you are old and gray. What imprint will you have made upon the child's life, what type of person will they become and what will your legacy to them be?
