Added redline tuning hood struts and a 10" sub. Also fixed a rattling heat shield under the truck.

Ok. Another silly electrical question .

I have a rocker switch for my light bar and the way it's wired , the led is always on even if the car is off and locked .

How can I have it so the light is on when the engine is on .

The photo shows the removed line that was causing the light to be on

Looks like you're pulling power for the LED in the switch by jumping it from the wire going to the positive side of your battery. You need to tap that into a circuit that is only on when you have your ignition on.

I tapped into the factory clock wiring to do that. Just probe the plug going into the clock with a multimeter and toggle the ignition back and forth to see which wire lights up the clock and tap into that wire.

Struts are upside down man, I did the same thing. Tube goes up, rod goes down. They will actually work better if you reverse them.

Threw some new cv's in last night
Went with AutoZone. I know they're crap but I figure free replacement and 30 minutes per side to swap out... Why not? We'll see how long they last

With not much to do for 3 days I installed red led flex strip lights. it started out to light up the running boards then got out of hand from there each strip sits in a plastic rail the rail is screwed into the wheel wells so no double face tape to come off each strip is soldered and has heatshrink to protect it and a electrical connector plug that has heatshrink around it then out in a wiring loom then painted one strip and put it on the license plate frame to come on when I push the brake pedal and added led tail lights (not the same selection as in the usa) 3 stores and 1 choice for led tail lights . Then i added a driving recorder and backup camera. It took over a day to source all of the parts since only one store has most of what is needed. One store led lights one for electrical connections one for heat shrink and one for the plastic rails that are made for home wiring. I know not everyone likes the led accent lights but they are popular here. I also put in led backup lights they are super bright. Not finished with the led interior light yet but now I have lights come on when I open the doors.

I will probably go this route next time as well. Life time replacements for cheap and super easy to swap out the whole unit. Been replacing just the boots to save $ but such a pain. That's some pretty good angle on those boots. I am considering these red extended boots (http://www.offroadsolutions.com/tech-info/high-angle-cv-boot-kit/) though just to see how long they last. The extended boot keeps the fins from touching and wearing. You are probably aware of these. I have seen good reviews on them.

I always wished Allpro offered a swingout 1st gen bumper, now that I have seen this I may just suck it up and do the same. Looks awesome!

Ya looks good, let me know how it holds up if you go that route. My guess is the internals would wear out before that boot being a cheap cv.

You can also do a boot mod that extends the existing boot, I may try that

While I was at Home Depot, I noticed this strap on the clearance rack. I was in need of a strap anyway and the moment I saw a truck just like mine on the front, I was sold.
