I went in and talked to the guy that runs the dealership as we are acquaintances through my job. Told him I was interested in the Blue TRD I posted earlier.

2017 DCSB TRd off-road with JBL, tow package, tonneau cover, mudflats, all weather mats/sills.

Went inside and before we talked price or anything he said he'd give it to me for the same deal he gives friends/family $500 over his cost or $38,453 (msrp of 40,318)before tt&l ($870)
Not sure if that's true or just a sales pitch, however most people I know that have bought from there pay msrp and it's pretty close to the Toyota invoice price posted on a different thread.

I go in on Tuesday to buy it, if financing works. Should I try to negotiate or ask for anything extra included?
Would I find a significantly better deal outside of my state (Alaska, and can't drive into my city so all vehicles have to come via water)
    Thanks in advance.

Yes, seems there was a doc fee of $150.00 that I didn't include in the price.

I think I got a great deal. A'17 DCSBOR 4x4 sticker: $39685.00 I purchased excluding tax for 35094.00. Best deal I found. Even better than the used '16s with less features

My trick was never get too anxious, go close to closing time, and be prepared to walk, even if they run your credit.

I got mine OTD for $37,650, retail was $39,673 + 400 (dealer tint and nitrogen), and invoice according to costco was $37,256.

My taxes were $1,740 and dealer fees were $450.

    So if i do the math my sales price was: $35,460 = $37,650 - $1,740 - $450

I was about ready to walk when they said best they can do was around $38,500 OTD for the truck.

Also if you got a cosigner that's either a manufacturer supplier (my cosigner was and I got a $500 rebate), or military (I should've asked my uncle because they get $1,000 rebate), plus my graduation rebate ($750)

Never get impatient. As you can see if I would've done some research and took my uncle with me I may have gotten another 500 off, or the dealer may have not been willing to negotiate as much, you never know.

My monthly payment is around $490, another thing that really pissed me off is that dealerships realize people don't mind being in debt for the rest of their lives. My salesman kept coming back to me saying, "these are your payments, see very affordable" my reply was "I do not care what the monthly is, don't hide the total cost of the truck, just show me OTD pricing." This truck is the only thing I have debt on and that won't be for long when VW finally buys back this TDi come February.

Edit, get the accessories you want when you buy the truck. I wish I would've talked a bed mat into the deal. Dealer I bought the truck from a few days after purchase wanted $107 OTD, local dealer wanted full MSRP of $120 OTD, and Hoover Toyota sold the mat to me for $100.25 OTD. I looked it up, invoice on the thing is $80, which is weird as one dealer told me their cost for the mat is $80, so idk.

Trying to find a 2017 TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 AT with at least P&T w/JBL and Tow Package in Black or Mag Gray here in Phoenix. So far dealers are not cooperating on quote requests for the vehicle. Unfortunately there are only 3-4 builds in AZ on the ground for the exact configuration that I want. I really thought it would be easier than this for a year end deal. I think I limited my chances of a decent deal by limiting the build that I want.

I don't mind going out of state, but at this point it may be too late since there are only a few days remaining in the month.

Same issues here in Nevada. I was looking in several states for the same truck. Picked one up in Aurora, Colorado without JBL/moonroof/BSM for a decent price 33,137 + TTL = 36,969.81 shipped to Nevada. PM me if you would like and I can give you more information.

Contact the internet dept at BigTwo Toyota in Chandler. Best deal I found, and lowest sales tax. Got my 2017 DCLB OR there. Ask for Dana Stephenson. Mine was for a custom order. That way you get what you want, except for that damn wait!
