Corporate pays attention to these types of sites. Complacent acceptance of a subpar product does nothing to motivate improvement and in fact does just the opposite.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm glad to see that others are have the same experience/feelings that I have. I don't think anyone is trying to degrade the truck - we all made the decision to buy a Tacoma and it was the right decision to buy especially in the mid-size truck market. I do feel that the transmission and lack of over all power (not in ECT Mode) is an issue along with a vibrating gas pedal - both items Toyota needs to address and fix.

The truck feels much more powerfull when in ECT mode but not useful when on the highway - Toyota needs to fix the transmission so it acts like it's in ECT when around town and then more second gen when on the highway.

Again paid good money for this truck and feel I have the right to add my comments and feelings on the purchase I made.

What was it towing, a wheel barrow?

    I don't pull wheel barrows!

I'm not saying that the 2nd is better than the 3rd, just that those tests are run by pencil-pushing journalists that don't have a fucking clue what real work is.

You have evidence of this? I've been screwing around on car forums since the late 90s and I cannot think of a single instance where criticisms on a forum have resulted in any additional attention to a problem versus service visits.

I have 2017 DC TRD Sport 6spd. I only have 1200mi, but I do not have any of these issues... Of course I shift when I believe is needed and getting 19mpg which is not bad for a new vehicle in the NE winter.

I love my 2016 SR5 2WD. I drove a 1987 corolla for 25 years! So anything is better than that. Want to talk about vibrating? Drive my corolla!!

And we also paid good money for this truck and have every right to be critical of people that cause potential monetary harm in resale values when they complain about pedal vibrations after buying a truck.

Go let your service adviser know that you're bothered by pedal vibrations if you're concerned about it. This is not something that needs to be bounced around in an echo chamber so you can find the one other person concerned about such trivial things.

Way to many people crying on these threads...cheer up, it's all about efficiency, getting to the highest gear, lowest rpm to save fuel under mandates from the Fed.

That's why I went with the 6MT. It's the best truck I've ever owned, and feels refined over gen 2, night and day.

I shift when I want. The new RC62F is a dream over my last 5MT in my 2.7L, and this engine is lovely.

Of course I'd rather have the power band be more lower so it's usable, and it would be more efficent, saving on fuel using less gas to get it going, but it mirrors the 2.7L having its little Power band at 3500K+ RPM.

Overall, this 3rd gen is leagues ahead of the outgoing gen 2. #ManualTransmissionFTW

Have you stepped back for a minute and considered that your lacking situational awareness? That you and your truck are perhaps part of the vast minority and the absolute exception of 3rd gen Tacoma owners? Sorry your got a bad truck

It has a manual transmission where the 2016 has an auto. Comprehend the video and compare apples to apples.

And the moon is made of cheese. I want to see where the evidence is that the vast negativity here is getting corporate attention in resolving issues when service visits are not.

The 2nd Gen didn't have a manual, and most modern automatics shift faster than a manual. That's a poor excuse to get whooped that bad.

Did you listen to the whole clip and what they said about it ?
    Apparently not.
So everybody here says get a manual because it has more power and less weight, then when some say the manual is faster than the automatic they disagree. Wow.
