I don't understand why people say they want a V8, a wider truck, and all this crap that a full-size truck has.

The point of getting a mid-size truck is to have something that is smaller and more efficient. If you want a wider bed, get and Tundra. If you want a V8, get a Tundra.

It's just dumb to overlap the Tacoma and Tundra too much. Toyota wants these differences so they can appeal to different buyers!

I completely get that and I agree 100%. I don't want a larger truck, I just want the ability to lay 4' flat between wheel wells so really it would be a design change more than anything since the bed is already wide enough overall so don't need to make the truck larger physically.

    all tore up already
    mine are simple:
    1. dont punish people who prioritize bed space over passenger space by taking the cargo light out of AC trucks.
    2. i need to be able to put my windows down remotely. my last 5 cars did this, toyota i know you can because my lexus had this feature. and my mazdas. and bmws.

I was just thinking that, I'm sure that if everyone automaker refused to comply with Cafe standards and refuse to pay any fines, there'd be nothing Uncle Sam could do. Would they tell every automaker they can't sell the American public cars? It's only going to get worse every year as the restrictions get tighter.

Pop-n-lock tailgate. New radio knobs. Rear step.
A fuel filler door that locked/unlocked with the driver's door would be great.

I hate to say this but after owning this truck for a couple weeks, I feel like I am missing a lot of features. Auto technology and styling is on the verge of completely taking off in the next decade and this truck is already lacking. I wanted the reputation and resale, but feel like I sacrificed too much for what this cost me... sigh.

I think like 40% tax I think... We also have bridge tolls, property taxes that cover roadways, and pay per use roads are likely coming... never ends... and we buy insurance from a government owned source and you have no choice... and its expensive.

$114.9 per litre here, still $4.34 per gallon.

For gasoline it's between $0.31 and $0.42 per liter in BC depending on the region.

I have private insurance in BC for collision and comprehensive which saves a little bit of money, much better coverage and lower deductibles though.

I was actually thinking about this the other day while I was home in Massachusetts. I really wish I had heated mirrors and rear defrost. Also wish automatic headlights was on all models because that should be standard nowadays. My wife's old 06 cobalt with manual Windows and locks had auto headlights but my 2015 doesn't wtf
