I'm shopping for new coil springs for my 2004. The Toyota part numbers are 48131-AD050 and 48131-AD030, specific to a TRD off-road, left & right, ext cab, auto, V6.

To buy them from Toyota is silly expensive. But I have not found anywhere locally or online that offers the same specific spring. Some sell the same spring for right and left. Some don't have a different part for the TRD trucks vs non TRD.

Any suggestions on where I can source reasonably priced springs that are correct for my truck? Thanks.

Why do they need replacement? (curious)

I'd call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and see what she recommends in the aftermarket to meet your goal.

Thanks for the recommendation. I reached out to them. Looks like they took some time off for the holiday.

In the mean time, any other suggestions for replacements?

Thanks, but I'm don't think I'm interested in used parts.

The nice folks at Downsouth let me know they do not carry replacements for OEM springs.

Any other suggestions where I can get a direct replacement for less than what Toyota wants?

Still hoping for suggestions on sources for replacement springs.

Am I the only one that wants this solution? Thanks.

Why not just get Monroe quick struts if you dont want to change any lift or ride quality? Super easy to install and cheap.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I've looked at those... I'm questioning the quality of the components when they sell a complete strut at less than the cost of a Bilstein 4600. And they sell the same strut for TRD & non-TRD trucks, so not a direct replacement.

You can give @ToyTec Lifts a call. They're open this week. They're really awesome and can help you out.

Those will provide a small lift. I think it's 1" or 1.5" if I remember right.

I would shoot @TOYTEC a call and speak about the 880 coils, they should yield around 1-1.5'' of front end lift.. Its a nice upgrade.

    I'd ask @HeadStrong Off-Road I'm not entirely sure myself.

@ToyTec Lifts would know the answer to that for sure. They've always answered any of my questions and have been patient with me through all of them. :D

I can vouch for the quality. The PO of my truck out them on all 4 corners sixty thousand miles ago and they haven't given me any issues. They have held up to my bumbling attempts at off-roading just fine.
