Whats the snag?

 

Short answer: two things don't line up right meow. He can fix it but he said they may have to send it out. I've told him to call the vendor back as they (vendor) mentioned it to me yesterday...

 

hopefully the vendor can get it on it, being that they had already mentioned it. Did they push out the date/time on you?

 

As of this moment it's up to me. I can choose to ignore it and I'll deal with it once it's in my hands or he can have it done but it'll probably come with a cost. Unless the solution can be done with the parts they already have... I was driving and didn't really listen to the guy as he explained a solution to a problem I wasn't having Lesson: learned.

 

Yup. Unless the vendor gives him a good answer I'm taking her all clapped out rattle and all!

 

Back from a 2-day Big Bear trip yesterday but I need to get out again. Anyone doing a trip tomorrow?

 

I dunno man. Wait for it to be perfect. Inspect for fish eyes in paint and solvent pop in the clear... once you accept the truck that's the end of all valid complaints/requests for re-work... just my .02

 

I'm sorry Denny, but I have to agree. I know you want your truck back but wait until it is 100% done and perfect.

 

Very good point. If there's imperfections in the paint it definitely will be staying the night for sure.

That's true. Just about any place half worth it's salt has a "Lifetime Warranty" on all work.

welp.. at least you actually have another vehicle to drive! it would suck even more to have to rent something or borrow someones car.

 

Yep this is true. I'm gonna call them as I haven't heard back in about an hour and since our pickup time is relatively soon.

 

I don't agree. Confirm with both the shop and insurance company before making a decision. Then preferably something in writing saying that I am taking it even though it's not complete and will return at a later date for other repairs...
