    My 98 has 4 in.beefed blocks, QA1 up front, turbo. My 15 4x4 stock looking for lift and tires.

    I've already purchased wheels. The Procomp specs are 17x9, 4.25 back space, with a offset of -6.
    Then I mounted the stock tires 265/65/17.
    Now I'm ready to put on some new tires and I'm wanting to go as wide as possible. I'm fine with the height of the stock tires (30.5" or maybe a bit taller) I just want to go wider.

    Toyota threw a fit about warranty work because of my bumper so I had to pull it off but they agreed that they would do the rear main seal but they were complaining about the front seal and access to the front crank seal which is they were trying to weasel out of doing the work

    They try to weasel out of anything warranty related. I went in the get mine reflashed because of the spark knock (which there's a TSB for) & they tried to blame the lift & 35's. They need up doing it after I raised hell.

    If your wheels are 9" wide with a -6 offset your backspace is 4.76 not 4.25.

    Well at I'm glad your getting it done,even though you had to take the bumper off. Does ScooterWTC still work there? I haven't seen him post in a while. I'm sure he knows who the good techs are.

    It's like my '14 has a noise in the front diff, it's still under warranty. But with the lift, I don't even want to argue with them. Plus me being a technician for over 20 years...it kills me to let someone work on my vehicles. I'm too damn anal, I've seen some hacks in my days.

    Yeah it sucks but got it done. Scott does still work at wct. We went back and tried to get his guy to work on it but he was in the middle of a tear down on a motor.

    Well a 285 is 11.22 wide and im really trying to get to 12.00 wide so 305 is the trick just gotta see if I can squeeze those in my fenders.
