Currently have a 2010 V6 6MT ACLB TRD OR 4x4 with 61k miles. I love this truck and besides a squeezing idle pulley the dealership fixed I've had no issues. Gas mileage after lifting and putting 285x70x17's have left a lot to be desired but I didn't buy or lift this truck to get perfect mpg.

I've talked to a dealership and basically have the same exact truck (2017) in a 6 speed auto for under msrp and OTD cost of roughly 35k. They've offered to give me 22k foe my current truck.

All the issues I've heard about the 3rd gens have really turned me off. Hunting gears, new design, the front end look, vibrations, power/torque..so convince me to trade in or hold on to what I already have! Thanks!

If you like the technology and quiet.. go nuts.

Don't expect better mileage with a 2017 on 285s, though.

Your truck has really low miles and is (assumedly) paid for, so I can't think of any other reason to not keep it outside of creature comforts.

Sounds like you have a long list of things you don't like about the 3rd gen. If that is the case...in addition to making a car payment (unless you can just pay the whole thing off from the get go)....I would think the decision would be easy to keep what you have?

Why get into another 4 or 5 years of payments if what you have runs good and has no issues? You can add a LOT more mods, or buy a BUNCH of gas for the $13,000 difference...

Hey devil dog, hop in and drive the new one around a bit and see if you like it. The opinions here are not healthy at the moment. Better to rely on your own eval. :oldglory:

So your saying you made a $13,000 mistake and going to buy another one in automatic and if you don't like that one your going to make another $13,000 mistake. I'm glad someone can afford to piss away that kind of money. It took me 40 years to save up and by my last forever truck and first new one in my life. I have to roll with the game I have entered into. Good luck with your decision.

Correct. Watch below then drive the 3rd gen. Make decision. Yours is the one that matters.

I haven't made any mistake. I'm asking for opinions from 2nd gen to 3rd is all. Everything I've read makes me quite hesitant to upgrade, but I want to before the value of mine drops below 20k. I by no means am made of money and want to make a good decision either way.

What really irritates me is your can't get the ACLB in 6MT..and maybe I haven't looked hard enough but I have yet to see a DCLB in 6MT either.

MT in general is hard to find in any make/model. When I got my 2009 in the configuration that I want, there was 2 in the state.

I hear ya..I live in the Boise area and went to Seattle for my 2010. Even now I'm looking out of state at high volume dealers since dealers around here sell over mrsp and selection is horrible..they want a $500 deposit just to order one.
