If you're doing the lbj's and the uca's, you're right there where you need to be to replace the rack too. You'll have the tie rods ends off, might as well go a little farther.
It's 3 bolts, one nut, a horseshoe shaped bracket, and the power steering connections. Then the splined shaft for the steering wheel.
All very easy to get to.

I did a short write up, does not include the re-installation as it's really very straightforward. Goes back in the reverse order. I would just mention, before you install the new rack, make sure it's centered.
If you reuse your otre's, count the number of turns to remove, and re-install the same number of turns on the new rack. And of course, when filling, do it with the engine off and cycle the steering wheel by hand and it will suck the fluid in and push the air out.
Upon first start up, keep it short. Fire the engine and shut it off. Check the fluid level and don't be surprised if it drops, just top it off.
I didn't even need an alignment when I was done.

So what happens if I sprayed a bit of TB cleaner into my throttle body (while still mounted) and some schmeg might have gotten into the IAC?

I cleaned my MAF did that little diddy with the TB (yes, lazy) and now I'm throwing a P0120 code. Code is for a throttle position sensor which obviously could be the issue but I'm just thinking out loud in case it's not coincidence.

Could the throttle butterfly be off a bit throwing this code?

Plan is to remove the throttle body tomorrow and give it a real cleaning (even though it's not that dirty)

What I've been doing last couple days.. ball joints in spindles were a pain to remove so if it wasn't for that would of went way smoother. Damn New England vehicles. (The whisky was defiantly necessary)

Tried to take it shooting but got stuck in the muddy muck of the farm fields. Was able to get it turned around and out but we opted to go back and get my buddies jeep since the mud was worse further down the trail.

Yeah so I could run low range without engaging the blown front diff. Still saving for them gears. Not gonna lie it was a little emasculating getting stuck in easy shit.

My problem was that I didn't know which direction we were supposed to go at a fork, and I stopped in the middle of a hill. Rookie mistake haha

Update for the seat belt cleaning, it really has made a huge difference. I did NOT do the spring re wind and only lubricated the internals by simply spraying the assembly with some wd-40 while working the seat belt. And of course the cleaning.

But yea, this was by far one of the best things I've done for my truck. It reels itself back up at least most of the way every time and I have zero issue. When I take my belt off I just ensure it feeds the way it is supposed to and it all goes right into the housing where it is supposed to. And by this I mean I take it off in that direction.
