So, is it luck of the draw that I have two 3rd gen Tacoma's that i have no complaints about? Or, is it the whole I'm lacking situational awareness thing? I had enough situational awareness to not buy Colorado's.

Luck of the draw-maybe, I also got a good one. There are some with legitimate problems- glad it's not me.
Situational awareness- that is a new one, but I have learned alot from reading these threads.
Real situational awareness would tell you not to believe anything you see on the internet, but that is grist for another mill.

So a whopping two differential failures. The howling holes in the front arms that are plugged for 10 cents went on for months.
And no other new auto out there has any problems.
    You are really ridiculous.

I've put almost 2000 miles on my 2016 Tacoma, and I love it.

Some say it's slow, but it has some of the fastest times for any Tacoma over the years. It is a comfortable ride, has everyday technology, decent off road capabilities, and the family loves it.

Many of the complaints I'm seeing on here and other Tacoma forums seem like the typical millennial crybaby bullcrap. If you don't like it, change it in such a way that you do like it or get rid of it. And if you don't like it, but you own it anyway, well then it seems you made a mistake somewhere along the way. Own it.

Every one has the right to complain, that is an important part of the forum. This spreads the information of "problem". Every one has the right to praise thier trucks for how great they think they are. The issue is when some one with "problems" tells the praiser they are not worthy, as they must not have the senses to feel, see or understand they own a piece of shit and there is now way they are not having issues. Or, when some one comes into the forum with an issue, and every one says they a trolling, making shit up or just looking for attention.

Seriously, no wonder our world is going to shit.

Oh and please stop using fucking TW statistics, they are not a true statistical representation of Taco buys. But if one must, what is 40% of 600? Less than 300, 240 to be exact. So using TW stats, there are 240 3rd gen tacos with the diff. issue. A drop in the bucket of overall taco sales.

And yes, it's human nature once exposed to an issue or problem, you will be more likely to find or discover that said issue. And when given the "instructions" on how to verify you have said "problem", of course you will be more likely to find it, because you are focused on it.

All that being said, my family and myself enjoyed our perceived good truck as we drove home last night in a foot of snow with no issues.

People have just as much right to complain as they do to praise. There are just as many "white knights" here that will rush to defend the tacoma as there are folks who do the opposite. Nobody is breaking the forum rules.

Seriously, no wonder our world is going to shit.

Because people got their feelings hurt over a comment about their truck? Yeah "show me on the doll where the Tacoma World Comments hurt you" applies here. Get over it.

You're right so extrapolate those numbers into the ignorant and naĂŻve public consumers. Really makes you think doesn't it? How many people are driving around in Third Gens with issues (ticking time bombs) that Toyota would rather just sweep under the rug.

And yes, it's human nature once exposed to an issue or problem, you will be more likely to find or discover that said issue. And when given the "instructions" on how to verify you have said "problem", of course you will be more likely to find it, because you are focused on it.

I feel like a broken record -- so because someone had to TELL you how to find the issue it is not actually a problem worth acknowledging? So should we stop telling women to give themselves breast exams too? Seems legit.

Smitty you are a piece of work. Dude I tried to be nice and say het you have a right to discuss you yota is shafting you, how your truck is a complete piece of shit.

But your an ass and just can't help but tell every one else how dumb they are.

take you misguided anger else where. Didn't you just get married? See about getting her differential to howl like your truck, then you will have something else to complain about.

some people all they do is complain, and complaining never fixed anything. in the real world being a constant complainer is equal to being a loser, winners face difficulties head on and resolve them, whinners end up living in their mommies basement because facing reality is too hard, its easier to complain and blame the world for their situations instead of being proactive and getting shit done and facing reality for what it is. Lifes a bitch but you got to deal with it

People quickly forget that there are 200,000+ 3rd gens on the road. Only a small percentage of people are experiencing problems. The few people on Tacomaworld with problems don't even make up a single % of 3rd gens.

200,000 Tacomas on the road but you ONLY have problems if you post on Tacoma World. If you don't post on Tacoma World, your vehicle is immune to all of these issues. o_O

BTW RE: Howling Diff --- 39% of 200,000 is 78,000 just in case anyone was curious. :burp:

Are you saying that 39% of third gens have been documented by Toyota as having rear differential issues?

Toyota will hold that data very tightly, it could very well be higher it could be lower but I have a hard time believing 250+ people out of 600 are lying about having differential issues.
We have more data to support the claim than to disprove it at this point.
