Anyone into R/C?

I started out by painting 1 solid color then progressed to 2 colors with just using masking tape......practice practice

Finally got the esc mounted and calibrated.....this thing rips!!!

Hopefully will be able to run a couple packs through it tomorrow after work....suppose to be 68* here tomorrow.....just running on 2S packs for now

 

My R/C portable charge station putting in some work bringing my motorcycle battery back to life....This setup really is the ultimate charger! ;-)

I just finished changing the oils and and rear pistons in the shocks. Just charging up my battery before i head out since this is my only one at the moment lol

 

Looks like most of you guys are into the dirt type RC fun. I race these things on carpet and asphalt.

Ive only driven onroad a handful of times. Where do you race? I live down the street from tq.

 

TQ! That's where I go with the Awesomatix chassis, and my GF lives around the corner from TQ. These were two test platforms with the scorpion prototype motor I was testing for buddy who is the Scorpion distributor in the States. Motor should be ROAR legal by now.

I'm on RC break after TCS nationals back in August. RC racing is too consuming. Time and money-wise. Bought my Taco the weekend before the TCS finals.

 

Nice! Ive been on an rc break for going on 2 years now lol. I went from racing once or twice a week to practicing 3 times a year lol. Tonight will be my third time driving, havent raced once this year haha

 

You went to TQ? Maybe I've seen you there before. I used to do the club races there and won the 2015 winter series sportsman class.

 

Man just saw this thread, now I'm going to have to get all mine out and knock the dust off and see what needs fixed

 

Do it! I'm just on break, not quiting. Buying the new truck just took my race budget to the back burner for a bit. Easier mentally too as I'm not having to fuss with setup all the time. Now I'm trying to figure out what tires and nonsense I want for the real car.

 

Ive been there only a handful of times practicing with ron schurr. Ive never actaluallt raced sedan. I used it to gain conistency for offroad lol.

 

Yeah, he's there often. On road is good practice for all other classes. Forces you to learn setup and reaction.
I've done off road, I hate scrubbing tires and chassis at the end of the day. LOL. A few guys there came from the local pro classes in 1/8 nitro buggies. Lots of old school locals are there from at least 20 years back who all know each other. Some guys practically live there and have no GF's or wives.

 

Yea it's about time, they have been in there cases for a few years with busted diffs, servos and a arms, all but my baby that is haha. The last time I had them out they got road hard and put away wet

 

Speaking of scrubing tires lmao.



Yeah i cant get out too often. My wife would kill me, especially since shes currentlt pregnant lol
