That bulldog is purdy.. I had actually put a deposit down on one before I rescued mine from her neglectful owner. Turns out it was a good move but that may be my next pup.

Thanks.. He is a very loyal dog, very athletic and has a HUGE personality.. But I agree adopting a dog is the way to go...

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!

Pleaseeeee don't start on the adoption thing. I agree with Bob Barker and Drew Carey and I hate the idea of puppy mills and dog fighting is a disgusting idea of entertainment. But sometimes adoption doesn't work. AND it isn't the prospective adoptee's fault!!

I almost got my pup from a breeder, as health issues and such are always a problem. The only reason I got the boxer I did is because a mutual friend's neighbor fancied himself a "breeder," but that's a loose interpretation. We picked her up and it turned out she had pneumonia from being kept in an outdoor kennel (we got her in late November).
I have a feeling the mom got knocked up, as he was just giving the pups away.

I consider her a rescue. And now a best friend..

That is awesome that she got the life she deserved. We have a rescued cat and she is the coolest, but comes with baggage. We attempted to adopt a rescued boxer and weren't accepted. Millions of animals get put down and we were turned down for reasons we disclosed from the beginning (no fence and the cat). IDK, just pulls the heart strings when I hear the adoption thing. We tried and were denied. Now we have our best friend, and we bought him. If we all rescued, eventually there would be no animals to adopt. I support adoption, rescues that are reasonable and breeders that work for the best of their breed.
As for the over bite, I have read that can be a common problem. Unfortunately you can do the expensive braces or deal with it. Hopefully it doesn't become a large health issue with infection or such. "Snaggletooths" can be a funny quirk imo.

It's funny, mine, the first one i posted, loves to be on her back, even helps you put her on her back. My sister's (in the VT hoodie) absolutely HATES it. She'll kick and squirm and scratch and if you manage to get her on her back she tenses up. Such different dogs.

The underbite doesn't bother me all that much. I think it's cute (though apparently it's a face only a [father] could love). I just worry 'cuz it makes her look vicious, but up to this point it hasn't really been a health problem. I'll wait for her and see if she grows out of it, not really interested in doggie-braces unless she needs them for health or comfort.

I hope he chimes in cause I am curious too. For our boxer's tear stains we use a pinch of white vinegar in his water. It works for him, and us, cause they were pretty bad before we started that. The vet was even surprised it worked.

Are you sure your sister's is a Boxer? LOL Ours loves to be on his back, falls asleep like that sometimes. He's gotta be in that mood though. They are just a joy to watch because they are so goofy.

What brand food do you feed him? He looks great!
My boston terrier has 1 white eye and it's staining pretty badly right now, but he is teething at the moment and I'm told that will make it worse.
I have the cleaner from petsmart, it isn't working at all.
