Correct - I believe they stopped making the handhelds. With Garmin recently buying Delorme, hopefully their (Delorme) maps & software will be on all Garmin devices.

I didn't know that. We have a garmin, it used to be top of the line and now it just has...issues. I use google maps when on the grid now, garmin should go in the trash but I just feel so bad for it. With the inreach I feel so...safe.

    I bought 2
I've always found Delorme's mapping & software to be far superior to all others.

Watch, garmin will either ruin Delorme or become a super company. Time will tell I guess.

They kept the Delorme facility here in Yarmouth, Maine open. And even continued with the paper publication of the Delorme Atlas & Gazeteer. Everyone here freaked out when the purchase was announced.

I can imagine. It's rarely a good thing when big companies combine with smaller ones.

I bought it right at Delorme in Yarmouth. 3 years ago I think.

If you can find one.....do it. The detail on their maps/device for all the forest/logging roads is amazing. My older Garmin doesn't show 90% of them.

Even an older PN-30 or PN-40 is still awesome.

Not only that garmin is not cheap. Looks like the pn 60 goes for $120 on eBay. That's solid.
