Oh and one more thing, you'll need wheel spacers or wheels with at least 4.5" backspacing. Not sure what the stocks are.

I just got mine on yesterday

The only place I rub on the street is occasionally on my external reservoirs. However, I'm wheeling today and they'll get as tucked as they can get so we'll see how it goes. I also have 4.5" BS wheels and uniball uppers so not sure if you'll hit your UCA or not

If you already have a suspension lift, imo don't bother with a body lift, they do not add any performance, ground cleanance, etc... you might get a little more tire clearance, but your suspension lift pretty much took care of that.

Some people like them because they are pretty much the cheapest way to lift a truck and get that "look." But that "look" is pretty obvious you cheaped out on your lift, and don't actually use the lift for off-roading.

As you can see, I'm not really a fan, but they can work to get a little extra tire clearance (but so can a few other mods like proper back spacing, hammering the fender seam, and not getting a ridiculous tire size) but if you insist on one, don't go more than an inch of lift.

Agree! Body lifts cause all kinds of engine bay problems that no one thinks about until afterwards. Radiator hoses and fan shroud has to be lowered. Steering linkage has to be stretched out. Not to mention the ugly gap between the bumpers and body.:facepalm::smack::smack:

That's what your truck *could* look like.

It depends on which lift you get (not all 3" lifts are created equal, worn out oem springs, new springs, spacers, spindle drop, etc...), wheels used (back spacing, width, etc...). Even tires measure differenly for any given size. An all terrain 285/75r16 in one brand could actually measure quite differently than a mud terrain with huge side lugs in another brand of the same size.

Yip, i hate the dang gap between the tailgate and rear bumper when you are following someone with a big ole BL. Lol, really drives me nuts when its big too! Like 3 or even 4 inches! Like mentioned above if you absolutely want one dont go over 1 inch.

Also to answer your initial question OP, on rubbage issues i can third or fourth er whatever that you will have some rubbage problems depending on hiw much you're cycling that suspension and how much you have your wheels cranked lock to lock. But a lil trimming and or hammer action will fix ya right up fairly nicely! Dont recall it mentioned already and maybe you know this already but where trimming will be needed is the pinch weld at the rear of the front fenders. We call it the "pinch weld mod". Do a search on that and youll find a plethora of info and pictures to go along!

I'm looking to go with the Icon stage 4 lift and being that I drive to work I'm going with an AT over MT.

I recommend the bilstein 5100's. Theres a ton of threads about them. They run $300 for all 4 corners, use your oem springs, and work really well. Easy to install if you know how to turn a wrench. Just rent a coil spring compressor (the type for struts/coil-overs) from autozone or whatever (usually free). I got a 1" lift shackle for the rear.

265-what? 265/70r16's are the stock size for a 4x4 (my trd at least). Currently running 265/75r16's with a tiny bit of rub with my 5100's on the middle setting at full lock.

You don't even need a spring compressor to install the 5100's. YouTube for the vid the show how without it. Just lower the lca enough to drop out the shock without having to even unbolt the top plate. Easy to do. I installed them thand a way in my 4Runner ina a couple hours

I used to be stock height with 265/75r16. Now I'm on Fox 2.5" coilovers set to 3" with Camburg UCAs in the front with the 285s
