Good Friday Morning everyone and Happy TGIF . it's currently 55 degrees and cloudy but in a couple hours the rain will start in my area . We're supposed to get heavy rain and T storms with lightning and snow levels above 7k ft

Tomorrow Morning we've got a Winter Weather advisory with snow levels below 3k ft so I might see some dusting of snow in my area

All my venison scraps I cook in oven thoroughly and then run them thru dehydrator overnight for dog treats.
    They're whores for those!

As I consider what state I want to retire in I've decided that I want somewhere with more balanced/predictable weather (and maybe a little snow). Texas is pretty much off the list.

Damn, you need it to snow! Pollen kicks my ass. Even out here where there isn't a whole lot of vegetation I have to hit the allergy meds. When we get rains it blooms within a day or so. Even in winter. So I keep a few pills in my lunch box. But since I moved over here my allergies are much better.

If you can stand the heat for 3 months, the desert is pretty nice.

I like the idea but the wife says she'd like to be able to see some green. Why is it that every relocation article I read on AZ they always talk about the high crime rate. Is it really that bad?

That's usually bigger cities. If you can find a city/town near the Colorado River you'll find green. We have some crime in Yuma but out where I am it's mainly retirement people. We do get the tweakers out here occasionally but they stick to town or the west side. I've been hit twice. Both times it was tires and wheels and both times it was my own fault. But over all, it's pretty good here.

Born and raised in Virginia, just want a state that's easy on the pension when it comes to taxes.

Looking for a shot of rain here. It's forecasted for later this evening but there could be more all the way to Wednesday. I have a grader for the roads on standby for Tuesday morning for some of our roads in the LTVA's so hopefully I can take advantage of of any rain we get.

Lived about two years in central FL. I'm looking to cut out states known for hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and earthquakes. Don't want the added stress or insurance requirements.

Whew. It's 40 degrees here, windchill is 35. I've spent 2 1/2 hours on a forklift. Trouble is On dressed for working inside the warehouse section where it's a nice 65. I'm chilly but coffee is helping
