    Your post are very confusing.

Sorry youve had problems with your Taco. But search the frontier forums. Lots of complaints there to.

Each vehicle no matter the make and model can have problems. I have seen pacers with 300k miles. But most didnt make it 75k.

My point, mass production of anything is always going to have a defect here and there. Toyotas tend to have less defects.

for a well equip vehicle of its size 35-40k is the average price. at least here in canada it is for sure. if not more.

I gotta second this. I think the engine and the auto transmission, particularly the way it seems to note my speed and when coming to a downhill slope and with my foot off the gas downshifts in a most pleasing manner at just the right time so as to let me ignore the brakes. Kinda nice. Once you become familiar with it, you know how to press on the pedal (or not) to get it to do what it is intended to do at the appropriate time. Yeah, there's some stuff that could have been a lot better - the storage compartments in the bed, for example - I have a cap which I carefully sealed the bed for (thanks to TW for clues on how to do that) and really didn't like the bile juice and chloride that streamed from the compartments inside the bed once they started spraying the roads. I sealed them up, but I should not have had to do that. I also note the not upshifting soon enough bit once cresting a slope with cruise control on, but I also realize that's a programming issue and I am foolish enough to think Toyota, to a degree using me as a guinea pig, wants me to be happy in the long run. So if it ain't Rev zip or even Rev1, maybe it'll be Rev 2. Ever notice how, when cresting that slope, if you push on the throttle just a little bit and let off, while in cruise control, it upshifts immediately? Maybe I'll ask them to do Rev 2 at the 15,000 mile service, 500 miles away.

These are minor irritants compared to what some of you have apparently been through, and I hope Toyota makes good on your legitimate concerns. I've been lucky enough to escape substantial issues, and I gotta tell ya, this truck is a bit of a niche thing, not for everyone, but it fits me fine and I really like it.

I would have no problem with the Frontier to be completely honest. But I just prefer the Tacoma overall. I like that the Frontier is a tad smaller. Love the look and drive.. Just that the interior looks so dated.

I was tracking F150s for a few years and they increased price at an average of $1000 a year.

I'd say trucks are overpriced, but people keep buying them at record numbers so what do I know.

Some people just want everything hand delivered in a perfect basket for them. If they bought any other truck or car and had issues with it they would just be on those forums doing the same thing they are doing here. :deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:

just wondering what this fix is? love my truck BUT hate the tranny, always shifting gears needlessly, doing 50km in the city at 1000rpm is ridiculous. always underpowered never holds a gear.

Don't get me wrong, the Frontier did right by me and I never had a single issue with it. However, there is absolutely no comparison between the two. The Tacoma is lightyears ahead of it.

Yeah my neighbor has been super bummed about his new one after we went hunting together and he was having a hard time following the group. He says it feels like the cab and bed are disconnected. It has been in the dealership at least 6 times, maybe more by now for a brake problem of some kind.

    1.04. Kbro2s. ICONS.
4K miles in 2 months. I love my 2017. Tranny is fine. Engine is fine. Lots of fun. Buy one.

Exactly! Most people talk about their problems online hoping for solutions. The majority of Tacoma owners don't have a tacomaworld account and are loving their new truck. I assume that a good bit of people originally joined this site just to report a problem and see if there's a fix.

    Then

They spend a lot of money on shit.

Because that's what this website does.

Makes you spend a lot of money on shit.
