    Gave the cap to my pop-up camper a little sprucing up before winter. Used Flex Seal Liquid. To literally give the top a rubberized coating. Sealed all the little cracks and chipped areas with a few thin coats, then layered it up. Hopefully do another full coat tomorrow too to make it a little thicker. Keeps a nice glossy finish too which should help with rain and snow.

    Used something similar on our pop-up years ago. It seals it up nicely, but it made it heavy (manual lift, 1974 Starcraft) I wish we still had that one:thumbsup:

    Buying used with specific demands is a pain. We got lucky with this 2619 on Craigslist 10 miles away. We had to have the optional 40g water tank and we lucked out with a factory 85W solar panel. Sometimes the stars and moon align.

    DCLB's are rare, no? That will be a good setup. I miss having a bed instead of the 4Runner.

    Hey-I'm towing an Aliner Ranger 15 which is about the weight of your Scamp, but lower profile. Are you towing in D or are you using the S feature? I'm actually let down by the recommendations in the owners manual to use S rather than D.

    I seem to see a fair amount of DCLB's on the road. They definitely are not more popular then the DCSB configuration. I needed that extra foot for when I want to car camp without pulling a trailer. In search for a topper now.
    I miss driving a manual but I really think the 4.0 has good power at low RPM so it is a pleasant driving experience. MPG could be better though.

    ajhod, I drive in fourth gear. I have a 5 speed automatic. I don't n\know what you mean S? I drive about 60 mph and it doesn't down shift or search for gears very often. I live in Ohio and the ground is not mountainous.

    I feel your pain. I had a travel trailer stolen out of storage a year ago. Like you I lost more than the insurance covered.

    Canopy, fitted seat covers, OBA with self leveling air bags, 100w solar, dual Rhino Rack Pioneer platforms, side & rear LED work/FU lights, CB, cell booster. 7x16 cargo conversion, 3" lift, 7'x6.5' fold down aluminum rear deck.
    Went and checked out a Winnebago Micro Minnie 2106ds today. Dry weight of 3705 with a tongue weight of 360.
    I think I have decided on that model. While it will need some extra work (solar setup, underbelly insulation & enclosure panels), it seems to be the most comfortable for me. Spent about an hour going through one figuring out as much about it as I could. Having a slide out on a trailer that size makes it more comfortable.
