I made a thing for switches because the thing I wanted didn't exist.

Are the cruiserheads switches nicer than the cheap $4 ones from Aliexpress or DHgate? I don't mind spending $20 a switch, as long as they're nicer.

I've gotten a few from AliExpress and they were all shit. The plug on the back was identical to the other ones I've had but the switch action simply wasn't smooth and the compressor switch eventually just stopped working after only a few months worth of use. That happened in the middle of a big offroad trip so I spent the last couple days hot wiring the compressor every single time I wanted to air back up coming off the trail. YMMV

Here's the latest: Using Hondo Garage vent mount as a start I printed a holder for my 440/2m radio.

Also, I made a little stepped bushing for the back of my radio, didn't quite plan right so I had to modify it a little bit.

Radio mounted, holds pretty tight and removes quickly and easily for stashing away. It's a pretty tight fit and hopefully it'll hold up well over time.

Has anyone developed or know if there's a way to add switches to the area below the temperature controls? I have an offroad so all I have down there is the ECT, QI, and usb ports. There's got to be room for at least 4-5 switches down there.

I've got no clue on wiring so don't hound me if this is impossible. I just know when all is said and done I will want more than the 3 switches I can hide in that useless cubby this fills up.

Does anyone make wiring harnesses for light bars and ditch lights that will plug directly into one of the Mictuning style push switches?

@CaliRaisedLed I believe is in the process of offering a wiring harness that comes with a Mictuning style of switch.

I saw their production was pushed back so I was curious if there were any other makers out there. Thanks!

FYI - Shapeways has a 20% off coupon code running for strong & flexible plastics (which the black that almost every order has been so far is) through the end of the year. Code is FAREWELL2016

What switches fit in the OEM slots? Your 400w and clutch start kit?

The clutch start kit looks like the CH4x4 Push Switch (39mm x 21mm) but what size is the 400w button?

Question: I wanna buy this, but for the install what has to be done? Does the little switch area pop out and I can access the little cubby that is currently there and remove it, or do I have to pull down the entire bottom dash board area?

You have to pull the bottom dash, but its only 3 bolts and one plastic screw. It takes like 2 minutes... to install the plate just unscrew the 4 small screws from the factory and pop in the new one.
