I found a good deal on one and it would allow the tip to be run above the leaf pack which is a plus.

Who else has the cat back kit?
Why do they have you mount the muffler vertical instead of flat

    Cleaned my throttle body.

I notice when it's in the resting position the butterfly doesn't seal up completely. See how much light is coming through.

    Is this normal?

Does it need a vacuum to fully seal it?

If it's not normal, any way to adjust it so it seats properly?

I've been chasing a high idle and P0120 (throttle position sensor) code since August.

Appreciate the quick response (knowing you know your shit too)

I searched for a washer mod for the throttle body and only come up with TB spacers.

Do you know if this is an issue or abnormal?

other cases ive seen were loosened up more than yours. high idle would be a symptom at some point.

Interesting. What does that accomplish? I notice mine has a small nylon washer there.

There's also those two screws that the linkage hits when it comes to a rest. I'm afraid to adjust those so it seats farther down, so to speak.

I adjusted the screw on mine, there was only one though, not two. I can get a pic if you need it. Got tired of the high idle and was willing to try anything. It has worked fine for several months now. No codes.

I occasionally get super low idle 400-500rpm because my IAC sticks shut. But mine is a simple fix cause I can just blip the throttle and the IAC gets commanded fully closed and resets.

screws should be adjusted so theres some slight movement in the cable/linkage before actually turning the valve.

washer fixes issue of worn tb causing the valve to go offcentre and binding before completely closing. it basically just pulls everything tight and realigns everything again.

Yeah one screw looks to be where the cruise control linkage hits and the other is where the TB linkage hits.

If you could post a pic, I'd appreciate it. Kind of at a loss here

The tip of the pencil is the screw i adjusted. The little gizmo there is the cold start, high idle thingy, for lack of the correct term. Once the engine warms up, it would retract and the idle goes down.
For some reason after I cleaned mine, (throttle body) I had the same results as you, less the trouble codes. That thing was the only visible holdup when the engine reached operating temp, so I adjusted it and boom, idle dropped. Stays right around 700-750 now. Still goes to high idle, 1500ish on a cold startup, but drops within 10 minutes.

I was told that is a "damper" for when you quickly let off gas and theyre only on 5 speed models. should be no mechanical idle adjustment on the 3.4

I suppose it could be. :notsure:
When I was chasing the problem, it would fully extend on a cold startup and then retract. I have no idea what drives it, there are no wires or vacuum lines, it sits by itself and can be removed with nothing attached.
When the problem with constant high idle happened, I could manually push the throttle linkage closed and that thing would kind of "click" a bit and seat lower, and the idle would stay down.
But after hitting the throttle again, it would extend slightly and go back to high idle. So I shortened the throw on the screw and the problem immediately went away.
As far as the real source or culprit, I have no idea but the end results were satisfactory. :D
