Looks good. I just put a set on my 09 with 265/70/17 Nitto Grapplers. I think I'm getting a little bit of rubbing as well. I've only noticed it when turning tight into parking spots while also breaking, but it doesn't do it every time. It also only seem to do it when turning left. :notsure:

Will factory lug nuts work, I am pretty sure I read they will somewhere but can't find it. Also does anyone know if the make a gray lug to match the gray wheels?

Stock lug nuts for my steel wheels have a conical seat. These wheels use a lug nut with a flat seat and an extension that keeps the stud from damaging the wheel.

The lug nuts that Toyota sells are chrome.

If you have alloys wheels (TRD sport or offroad) stock lug nuts will work. Steel wheel lug nuts will not work

Can anyone confirm if these wheels will work on a '16 TRD Sport with 275/70/17 tires and a 1.5" lift on the front?

Can anyone confirm if these factory TRD wheels can accommodate a 275/70 tire since they are almost .5 wider due to the offset? I'm asking because even though they are wider, it's only a 7 inch wide rim vs the stock Sport wheel being 7.5 inches.

Was there really no additional shipping charge? I saw that it said free shipping but not on oversized items. Not sure if wheels can as oversized items... trdshop is a legit site right? I've never shopped there. I've heard of non-authentic parts especially with these wheels.

Finally got on my OEM 17-in 4Runner TRD Pro matte black wheels, BFG LT265/70R17 All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, and OEM chrome lug nuts and OEM wheel locks installed (sorta)

Next weekend, I'll be removing the factory tint on the front windows and redoing it darker. I'm torn between 15% all around or 15% on the front and 30% on the back over the smoked glass. Still waiting for my TRD Pro grill to arrive as well... It's backordered until end of Feb. The first one I received from the dealer had 2 broken tabs on one side. I got it for 1/2 cost as part of the deal for the truck so around $200 after tax.

Now for the fiasco with mounting and balancing these damn wheels. I bought the wheels from the dealership directly since they price matched an online price from another dealership. The tires were purchased online from 4WP. Wheels never left the dealership and went from Parts to Service. I did it at the dealership hoping for better quality (boy, was I wrong). They tried to charge me the cost for two sets of mount and balance fees (argument was that they have to unmount stock tires to get TPMS - my argument was they'd still remove them even if it was just new tires without new wheels). I finally won that one. Next, they installed the new tires on stock wheels the first time (with new wheels already paid for nowhere to be seen) so they had to redo it. The next day I went to pick it up again. They had the new wheels and tires on the truck finally but all four wheels had scratches on each rim (faint but definitely there) from poor installation. Once I inspected my stock wheels that they removed, they had even more damage from poor work. Long story short after 4 days without my truck, truck is currently on old scratched Pro wheels, dealership refunded me the full service cost, they are buying me new Pro wheels AND new stock wheels since they were less a month old (several days or more till they show up), I'll take the truck elsewhere to have the new Pro wheels installed, and then I'll return the old Pro wheels to them...

    Replaced the
OEM 17-in. machined alloy Sport wheels (part # 42611-04170) and Toyo P265/65R17 Open Country H/T tires (part # 363010) which were from my 2017 Tacoma with around 1200 miles and a month old with OEM 17-in 4Runner TRD Pro matte black wheels (part # PTR20-35110-BK) and BFG LT265/70R17 All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires (part # 66255). I also used the OEM chrome lug nuts and added OEM wheel locks

    @pwalnut

Great choice on wheels  I went the same route. I'm definitely digging the color combo, truck looks amazing. That Pro grille is going to make such a big difference. You definitely got a steal on that grille as well. I was able to pick one up with 3 broken tabs for $200 and it mounted up with no problems.

As for the tint, I personally had a shop match the rear tint as best as possible. I believe they used 35% and I love it.

Sucks to hear you had the tire mounting fiasco, I'd be pissed. Another member recently posted he also had problems with his wheels getting damaged while being mounted. It's people being careless while working with them. I had mine mounted at a local discount tire and expressed my concern about being damaged but they did a great job. I think the best route might be lookin for a place that does touchless mounting. Hopefully you don't have a problem again though! :fingerscrossed:

    I appreciate it!

Yeah the Pro grill is going to make a huge difference so will the darker tint especially in the front I think. I'm trying to decide if I want to remove the pillar tape so that the blue underneath shows. I also can't decide if I want to remove the Tacoma door emblems or plastidip them black... The chrome is a nice offset especially with the chrome lugs but I do really like a clean look but I also like the black to match the wheels. Errrr

Father-in-law is the service manager at a Lexus so I may have them do it there since he can't give to one of his better guys to do or I'll try to find one of the recommended installers on Tirerack. Now I'm nervous to let anyone touch it once the new wheels come in haha.

It currently looks great from a distance but here a few from up-close

I'd leave the pillar tape, I think it looks good with the tinted windows. Ties things together. I'm also torn on the emblems!! :frusty: I initially wanted to remove them but I feel it would look too plain. Once I got the wheels mounted I also kept the factory lug nuts and added OEM wheel locks and kind of thought it looked good with the emblems. I might just plasti dip them since that's easily reversible. That way I can keep switching it up haha

Yea I'd be nervous too man. Good luck!

Damn! That would drive me crazy. Those are pretty long scratches. They don't look deep so I wonder if they'd buff out. Either way it's good your getting new ones. No need to settle with their fuck ups.

Here are a couple pictures of mine...
