    Weather should be good, a storm is moving through a day before. Last chance canyon should be a challenge after the rain

    Washington state has no income tax and Oregon has no sales tax, somewhere along the Columbia River would be nice. Good mix of rain, sunshine and snow. Great fishing and hunting.
    We have a house in Oregon that is on half an acre all wooded but 1000 feet from the beach. It's our plan to retire there...one day.

    Isn't often get the covers on the grills, that is a rare sight. Have to wait until they cool off to put them on which is sometimes the next day. And then wake up this.

    Hopefully will get a full burn in on the Smoker tomorrow then pork butt is up next.

    Sue ,

    I've got a friend who lives in Mammoth Lakes Calif and he's been trying to get me to move up there . The Eastern Sierra's are so awesome up there with 14k ft snow covered mtn peaks . The view of these mtns from Bishop is breathtaking

    That's why I want to move up there !!!

    When I was younger I backpacked all over that area and my favorite trail was the June Lake loop

    Here's info on the city of Bishop ...

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bishop,_California

    Closest major airports are either Reno Nv or Fresno Ca

    It's a toss up.
    Live in that pile of white stuff and snap,

    Or do a new installation of over range microwave/vent a hood with new cabinet.

    Hmmm......
    Both seem to be the same to me right now:annoyed:

    So it's raining where I want it to rain, so we're still on for grading road on Tuesday. Now I get a text that a water main is leaking under a road and there's about a 25' plume on the surface...on Friday afternoon...on New Years weekend and I'm not sure we have enough 3" pipe parts to perform the surgery. So I have the rental company delivering a mini-excavator so I can, at the very least, get the pipe exposed and turn the repair over to my seasonal helper for Tuesday and free me up to go grade roads. On my way home from grading roads I'll stop and check the water pipe and, if the repair went ok, I'll backfill the pipe excavation Tuesday night. In the meantime we're just going to cone off the plume so nobody drives over it and sinks and slowly watch a water main fully fail. It's kinda like watching paint dry but with a little bit of intrigue and anticipation.

    Now see up where it is cold you could at least get the entertainment of watching the skating rink form and possibly even freeze the plume :}
