just went to wash my winch rope from all the mud that got on it at richland road and the wireless remote doesn't work anymore! Apparently Smittybilt made the whole thing waterproof EXCEPT the switch that turns the wireless module on and off . Contacted them and they are sending me a new one, but i already had two equally shitty brand new switches sitting in my toolbox so I just put one of those in. Probably just going to mount a fully waterproof switch somewhere easier to reach and never worry about it again.

 

Well just texted a guy about a front '06 ford super duty D60 axle. Going to pick it up next weekend.

 

I'm ready to get this bitch moving

 

The winch still works with the wired connection but the wireless control doesn't work. I feel like the wireless feature would make things so much easier.

An 85 is where it's at though...solid front axle and fuel injected. Only year of that combination...

Yeah me too. Only issue is that when you get a dedicated toy you also need a trailer to haul it, and then you need a truck to tow the trailer, and then you need space to keep truck and trailer...

 

Im sitting on 3 as is haha. got two brining for tomorrow and a few racks of ribs and a few dozen wings. oh and collards and black eyed peas. its going to be a goooood day tomorrow! beer and smoke. no better way to start the new year!. oh and got my womans wedding band for $35! cant beat that one bit.
