I've thought about your scout when seeing or hearing about it. It triggers memories for me of when I was young and dad had one for a few years. It was a 78 w/ 345, 4sp, lift of some kind bc it had 33's, warn 8274 I think and the coolest thing of all....it had the top removed and a 4wheel pop up camper in it...we used to take it to long water gulch drive down through the river crossings. Man that seams like forever ago.

I would have lusted over that. The 4wheel pop up camper on a lifted Scout was THE holy grail of #EAF.

Throwing in the towel... Or all 16.

Time to tackle the brakes, then maybe some more finish detailing.

    Hell to the no!

    Such a pain.

Speaking of pain, anyone know where on the truck would be a matching thread bolt for the two spots on the rotors to remove them? Both rotors are seized on the hub. Tried pb blaster, a small sledge... They aren't coming off. I should've known better. :annoyed:

The caliper bolts on both sides were quite rusty on the ends... Wasn't aware that I drive in the rust belt.

Found some spare bolts... Those things we on there!

Next part of the saga... If i didn't have bad luck, i sure wouldn't have any. The Hawk pads I got, one has a 1/8" metal? lump on the back of the plate. Guess this wasn't a set that was QC'ed. Time to grind it off.

Really surprised you knew that commercial, it being out about the time I was in middle school.

My dad use to drink that stuff in college.

I was drinking one once as he said:

    "raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnneeeeeiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr bbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr"

And then showed me the commercial.

The Rainer beer commercials with the artisians were some of the best.
