I'm really thinking about an aftermarket filter and cover the hole with a plate but drill small holes to still allow for some air. With an open box of course and not a sealed unit like afe

I'll have to take some close ups for you. I haven't even looked at snorkels. How much do they cost?

I really like the truck. It looks very capable yet simple. How did you take off the TRD Badge?

Im sure the stickers are made there lol but in all seriousness I'm finding it difficult to order a bumper. After seeing the damage @perpetualenigma3 had with a steel bumper, I don't really want aluminum. I'm kind of leaning towards CBI now with full hoops and I'm going to weld up some plates to it to make it flush with the rest of the bumper.

True but scared of throwing down on a bumper that will crumble like a soda can. I'm sure the aluminum is strong and I'm not worried about weight so I have some thinking to do. But that 15% coupon code is valid so I need to decide soon.

Yeah, I can vouch for the steel bumper. With a wreck at 45mph and no time to even touch the brakes I only had about an inch or two of intrusion into the engine compartment. To tell you like this my radiator is still intact and untouched and that is considering that I had a winch mounted in front of it. I would have bet and lost money that my truck would have been worse than it was. To tell you like this all my lights mounted to that very same bumper survived untouched. They aren't even scratched and you can see I had atleast a foot of intrusion into the guys bed. If and when I rebuild I am going with a steel C4 bumper all over again. Just be careful about the steel bumper you get. Yes, some are made of steel, but it is soft steel which is easily bent. You want to make sure the one you get is made of quality steel. For example the first steel bumper I got that was damaged in shipping because it was dropped I could honestly say would have been crushed like a soda can.

Yes the bumper is history but the truck can be saved. The cab has no damage and aside from the bent tips on the frame it is perfectly fine. From the A-post back every line is straight. The cab and actual engine bay (not counting the 1ft gap between the grill and radiator) there was 0 intrusion, so I'd say the bumper it did its job exceedingly well. Better a destroyed bumper than the whole front end.

LoL how about just let me borrow yours and sent the guy the bud light after he gets out for DWI, if he isn't out already lol. Then I'll set the cruise control again at 45mph to make sure it's accurate the problem will be getting him to back out exactly the same way again lol. I will try to catch the driver's conner again like the first time but no promises. I can tell you the stock bumper is going to be really really really... did I mention really messed up when it hits that hitch like mine did lol.

Just tried ordering their bumper... wouldn't let me process the order cuz shipping. I emailed them seeing if I can get the code so I can still order at the 15% off discount. Is it meant to be that I don't get their bumper?
