A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
They even "cater to the extreme whiners/complainers as I found out a couple days ago. This particular person (well known here) even stated his/her sole motive here was to put down 3rd gen's till "Toyota" gave him some satisfaction. I actually got STOPPED by moderators from posting any more on that thread --while the persistent complainer was allowed to rant on!!??
Don't get me wrong there is a great group here that tries and tries to give/get good info. Problem is the "normal" users have to wade through all the "crap" to get to the good info many are in search of.
I will get down off of my "soapbox" with that comment!

This place has a tough crowd. I recently opened a thread to journal an issue I recently had where my truck shut off on the freeway. I opened it primarily because I work as a mechanic and having some form of written history of problems and solutions is invaluable to my job where I am trouble shooting issues daily. I got some reception where people seemed to have an issue with my comments. I am a Toyota fan and honestly having a hard time with dealing with the issues I've had simply because my previous Toyotas were flawless for as long as I owned them. My Tacoma has had more issues or quarks in 3000 miles than I had on my last three vehicles over a span of 80k miles. I still love it though, but now I have a hard time trusting its dependability, especially if its going to shut off unexpectedly.

There are some who appear to be here just to look for the opportunity to complain, but some like myself are simply being honest. Its as helpful to nay say those that have problems as it is to go out of your way to complain on every thread. I wish my truck was flawless but it hasn't been. I don't doubt that the majority are fine though either.

Must we segregate things? Why can't we have one, big, happy tacomaworld for everyone? 4Runner's.com has 5 gens intermingled and there is no bickering there. Why can't we have 3 gens?

    Group hug everyone!
