i think my favorite look for all the tacomas and toyota trucks, is the 1st gen extended cab. they have a functional bed (6.5 feet?) and they still have some room behind the seats

We found a 2004 Tundra 2wd. We are going to check on the price Monday. But I showed my dad what it would look like with the LT kit on it...... He was all over it. He said DO IT.

The 2004 ish tundra's look great! and your gona be haulin ass in that! just keep the v8 gas mileage in the back of your head, I could see that thing drinking gas like an irish man on st patty's day if your really hammering down on the pedal too much.

 

Whatever makes you happy. I'm just saying you're going to lose more due to depreciation than you've even paid for the truck.

Second, you want a Long travel and engine mods for your new truck.

Here's an idea. Stop spending money you don't have.

Save up, buy the vehicle yourself with the mods you want yourself.

I made due with a 91 corolla cause that's what I could afford.

*Note, I realise you're down grading cause that's what you can afford. Just don't get caught up in stretching yourself so thin on credit or you're going to find yourself in a world of hurt later.

 

I would LOVE to have a V8, but they get very expensive. Even in the used lots. The one im looking at is an extended/Access cab and its the basic of basic, pretty much.

If I found a V8 Tundra in my price range, I will jump all over that.

I think what is happening is that, My dad and I talked about it, We are going to keep my truck and then buy a $1,000-$5,000 range truck or SUV. Toyota of course.

It will be my little project. I showed my dad this Camburg picture and he was allover the idea. He thought it looked awesome. : (I apologize for my attitude, You said a few posts that I didnt like and got me all fired up.)

 

3.4 is a great engine plenty of power

Hey man, If your gona make this a project LT truck, you should look at getting a 90 - 95 pickup, maybe put a 3.4 in it. they look SICK, and are even lighter than the tacoma.
