Morning anybody else up.
Back is about locked up. All the reaching over stove while on a step ladder did it.
I need to finish today then call it quits.

Good, just can't sleep. Seems it gets more difficult to sleep between midnight and morning on my days off.

 

I know right.
I only had 2 beers. I was exhausted.
Waiting on coffee.
Got a new maker while back.
You just push your cup up to it.
No carafe.

 

Cuz your supposed to be working not sleeping.

 

I woke before midnight and watched Seinfeld and back to sleep.
Then at 230 and back to sleep.

 

Sounds pretty fancy.

I still think it's better than dealing with dayshift reindeer games. At this age I no longer have the patience. I was never good at the politics on active duty. And the politics seem to have gotten worse since I retired.

I tried to get in service twice. Got locked up on 2nd try cuz I didn't say anything about the first try. I just wanted to serve learn a trade and be fed
Mom worked cryptologic and got a letter from commander to let me out. Now that I look back I probably would've gotten in trouble with a Co.

Looks like I get to watch the citrus bowl and that's about it. All else is on cable

 

When I look back over 26 years active duty, I was fortunate to work for some really good commanders most of the time. When I didn't, I was lucky enough to have a good Chief backing me up when I said something that was absolutely right, but not necessarily sensitive or politically correct. I once had a visiting Chief tell me he'd never seen a Tech Sergeant talk to a full bird Colonel the way I had briefed our commander one morning at an Ops Brief. It did concern me, so later in the day when I was alone with the commander, I asked him if I was outta line that morning. I'll never forget his response when he said, "I've got enough people blowing smoke up my ass around here, if you start, I'll fire you." What bothers me is that was 20 yrs ago ... I think his kind of command officer are long gone now.

They've been forced out with the yahoo's in charge. I'll stop there.
I walked thru break room one day at my last job and owner was washing dishes.
I said he needs an apron if he's washing dishes.
He said "excuse me?!"
I said again, you need an apron on if you're going to be washing dishes!
He just laughed.
He was my best boss over the years but still disappointed that he wouldn't give me a helper.
So now I work about 3 days a week at less pay but better benefits.

 

Well I made it to 0600 after going to bed at 0100 so I guess that is better. As the saying goes no good dead goes unpunished if you can finish it call it a weekend perhaps the boss will give you a break for the rest of the weekend:{

Citrus bowl is on abc today. All other games are on cable.
Fkr across the street always blasts fireworks at this time of year so axis won't be on the agenda.
