They made them in 6.8. A little harder to find than the 5.56 but not impossible.

Is that an ASA side charging upper you have there? I just bought one for my latest build. How do you like it?

It's not mine, just a picture I picked up from another forum a while back. I don't recall the specifics of the build anymore, sorry.

^I really don't see why I can't have select fire, but I can have imitation auto. Rhetorical statement.

But really for the price tag, I'd rather just slap a Geissele in my system and not send as many washingtons down the barrel at a time as well as have nicer trigger control. Rather the former than building a pricey spraying device.

Franklin Armory also makes a binary trigger.

On a side note quality firearms & gear cost money. :)

When looking at 'affordable' AR's and parts it's a good idea to do a search at AR15.com and see what some of them have to say.

I remember reading poor reviews on diamodback stuff but I forget teh details and that may have been one incident.

Aimpoints are hard to go wrong with. But you're always talking about affordability, why spend close to $400 on a red dot when the cheaper version can be had for $100-200?

Yeah, I've done all the reading. Was more looking for anybody's first-hand experience. I have a guy looking to do a trade.

The rumor is that Bobby Fleckinger who started DB worked real close with George Kellgren and others of Kel-Tec which is right down the road less than 1/2 mile for many years before firing up DB in the mid 2K.... I have known a few guys to own some and have shot them they are as basic as basic is in the AR platform. I would own one if that was my price point or a build project starting point for a truck gun.

Ya, I was just going to flip it. It wouldn't be able to hang with the LMT's, stags & Daniel defense that I'm used to.

I know they were in some kind of business relationship back in 2013/14 because Taurus wanted to get into the AR market but I am not sure the deal closed.....

The stuff I read did make them out to be a pretty stable platform, and people were impressed with it

I have a cheap Rock River I paid $650 new I have tweaked a few things like a Rock river Natl match Trigger buffer tube and spring. I would put up next to any high end AR out there under 2K any day on the range....

I've got one of the Diamondback AR's. It's been a great rifle despite quite a few bad reviews. I've only put about 1,000 rounds through it, but no issues with ftf's or fte's.
