To be clear, I don't need to tie to ignition or illumination wire in order for compressor to work?

All underhood, easy enough to reach all four tires from there, routing a permanent line to the bed just adds a possible failure point. Besides, I've already got a trunk monkey doing all the work, he doesn't need it to be any easier.

Nope, you can wire directly to the battery bypassing ignition which means that the compressor can run without the truck on, this may be a good or bad thing depending on how smart you are (it's not about intelligence, just about know yourself) about not draining your battery to nothing. As for switch illumination, it's got nothing to do with operation of the compressor itself and you don't actually need it. If you are using the ARB harness and the Carling stylw switch that comes with it to wire it all up, illumination may just be a part of the package and it may just light up when operating, but I'm not sure since I didn't exactly wire the way they wanted me too.

Is that your mod or is it made to fit there in the TACO? Very interested in one.

Finally got my Demello sliders installed yesterday. Has problems with the first set and They stood behind them and sent me another. They also paid for the powder coating on the second set. Had the same problem on the passenger side to a lesser extent. But drilled it and bought some longer crossmember bolts. It worked out. Now I have to wrap these first big bastards up so I can ship them back.

I welded together (poorly) a mounting plate to put the compressor on the three unused studs found on the right fender in Off-Roads.

You could order the larger tuffy bed security box and bed mount it. It still has room for a few tools as well.

A couple days ago I painted an ACEkraut no drill front plate mount flat black and made a custom plate with a vinyl decal. Mount is pretty flush and is solid with no holes in my bumper.

Here is a shot of the bare mount

Heck, with that arrangement you could get the AC version and just plug it in to the 120 AC when you need it!

Just got the Rev 1 update. After leaving the shop I noticed no difference, but about half way home it seemed to shift much better. Maybe took a min to take affect? Either way I'm very happy now. Definitely shifts better. I hope it stays like this .just want to thank everyone on here for there advice and patience with answering all my questions. Happy new year to everyone. Hope for a good productive year.and plenty of new tacoma mods!!!!

Looks good, but have you checked out stuff from fab fours or Southern Style Offroad? Also keep in mind that steel bumpers are heavy and will reduce your payload capacity. I only mention this because I am also toying with the idea but the weight thing (and $) are holding me back.

Yeah that front bumper I was just showing peolle. It's okay but Def looks heavy. Idk if you seen the rear bumper pic I posted? I do want that one. Fucking 800 bucks though. Can't justify spending that much on a bumper..I have a friend that's crafty with steal and a great welder. Gona see if he could duplicate it for me.

Yeah, I was looking at two from FF. The premium rear bumper is 110 pounds, but a couple hundred bucks cheaper than the Vengeance bumper that only weighs 65 pounds.... I like those two because they let you keep the stock tow package.
