Have you used another trucks shell? (i.e. frontiers or colorado's)

Just wondering if any one has put a shell from a different truck on their tacoma? I see some shells for sell under $150 and I think it is worth a shot if they fit. Post pics if you've tried anything that wasn't tacoma specific

 

I asked this a while back with no luck on answers. There seems to be little to no used DCSB canopies in the Seattle area (I've been looking for months). Would love to know if anyone has anything else that has worked as well. I took measurements for a Frontier and Canyon and neither were right.

 

I see old shitty trucks in town now and then with toppers that obviously don't fit.

 

Neither fit the Tacoma.

 

Try searching in the Vancouver WA or Portland or area. I'm looking for one for my 05 extended cab and can only find one for DCSB.

 

Check out the picture in my signature. That shell came off of a Ford Ranger. Found it on CL for $50. It's a little shorter than the cab, but I don't mind. It was $50.
