I actually think this truck was abandoned. These pics were taken before that, but at one point it sat in the same spot for like 2 weeks, getting hundreds of dollars in parking tickets. Then one day it was just gone. I really do think it was abandoned...

It's also possible someone couldn't make their payments and just abandoned it or is hiding it in plain sight. At the Lowe's near my house, there's an older Chevy Aveo that's been sitting in the same spot for months. Inspection stickers are still valid, but the license plate and all 4 hubcaps are missing. The license plate frame advertises one of those sketchy "Buy Here Pay Here" car lots.

The first thing I wonder is who the hell finances a Chevy Aveo?

most of the people don't care about their trucks like we do. Specially construction guys. They just want a truck to take them from point A to B , with a bunch of heavy stuff on the truck bed . Truck pays off at the end of the year is what matters.

I see work trucks that are beat up but nothing like this... Fenders get bashed in, bumpers get twisted... But no holes in the body or busted windows...

Here's another one. I didn't take pictures of it...

A 2002 4Runner Limited with New York plates was parked one street over from where I took these pics... Residents started complaining within a week of it being left there. It got hundreds of dollars in tickets, but it took a few more days before the Borough slapped a bright orange "ABANDONED" sticker on it. The 4Runner was there for a month and a half in total before it was towed away. There was front end damage indicative of it being crashed head-on into a tree. The 4Runner was in okay condition at first, but whoever left it there didn't shut the sunroof all the way and the interior got trashed. Lots of decent vehicles seem to get abandoned in Doylestown Borough. I've seen a newer Toyota Corolla and a Fiat 500 get abandoned there as well.

I like taking pictures of trucks, but normally I focus on classic and custom trucks, and mostly at car shows. Also, I wouldn't go taking pictures of just any vehicle on a random street. My best friend lives on the street where the pictures were taken, and most of my friends' neighbors know me very well. As far as they were concerned, this poor Taco was just an eyesore cluttering up a perfectly good parking spot...

Imagine all the water/moisture that's gotten down in that C-pillar rusting it from the inside out.

I'm guessing that if this were fresh damage, it would be about $3,000-$4,000 to fix it. Now that this truck probably has hidden damage, I'm thinking more than $5,000, most of it from that rusty C-pillar.

I'd guess alcohol abuse or awful driving ability coupled with crap awareness.

One doesn't sideswipe multiple objects without a blatant disregard for physical objects or an inability to avoid them.
