I hear that. I've much preferred synthetic myself.
Is there a winch out there that comes with synthetic at a price that's cheaper than the badlands + a synthetic line?

The x20 is only $500 with synthetic... pretty sure thats cheaper than a badlands plus synthetic. When I was looking into it, it looked like synthetic was going to run $250 itself, plus a fairlead.

 

Without a Harbor Freight coupon the Superwinch Tigershark 9.5 comes in sub $500 with synthetic line. I need to research the cost of line and fairlead to be sure. The badlands was $330 and super winch $470

 

Two can play this game... look at my daily driver when it was stock, and slow.

 

I was a toss up with the Tigershark and the x20... friend was paying, and thought the x20 was better, so... sure.

 

Whats up with seans something divided by 10 deal? Does that mean he only gives 10%?

 

Badlands can be had for 299.
It's rated as 12k lb. I have no idea if that rating is legit or not but if it is, it's higher.
Wireless remote was $30.
Also, is the line on the tiger shark or x20 60'? 80'? 100'?
Would a line bought separately be far superior to the line that comes with those other winches?

I don't know these answers, but they are questions I would be thinking about if I was buying a new winch right now.

x20 is 100', and one difference I noticed over the Tigershark was it is IP68 rated... Tigershark said it was water resistant or something. X20 also says its covered with a lifetime warranty.

 

A Co-worker has a Tigershark and the remote solenoid mounting options really suck on that solenoid box. I mean it could be very easy to short out without building a custom one. Kinda why I'm looking away from it.

If only we had a mod around here to ban people who post such things.
