you should get fair market value.. my 05 was totaled I put a ton of money into it over 10 yrs I had my custom bumpers and fiberglass covered plus the max 5k Mercury would allow. I sent screen shots of 3 trd sports ranging from 17-19k I got 24k settlement

 

Probably will get around 17,000, hard to replace that truck though

 

Yes the fair market value is 19,000 but I had an ARB Bumper, Pioneer Touch Screen Radio, Fuel wheels, and a 3 inch lift so hopefully I'll be compensated for that as well.

 

Just curious what model is the radio in the truck I am wanting to upgrade mine. Just looking for options, thanks

 

those parts add value, do you have receipts? fmv is stock, I flooded my ins with invoices and quotes to replace parts, that's why my 05 was 24k payout probably could have gotten more had I pushed harde. I had another 05 trd sport with 73k miles waiting for me, didn't want to loose it

 

Yes I have the receipts for everything besides the ARB Bumper, which I plan on taking off.

sent me a check, and I checked the blue book myself and was happy. they will send you a list of what they covered and how much they cover by an adjuster, if something aftermarket you put on is overlooked by the adjuster, contact them and show the receipts of the purchase if you got good insurance they will work with you, best to be on good terms with all people you come in contact with from your insurance company cause a bad attitude or threats of lawyers and such will sink your battleship quickl

 

Thank you for the advice, very helpful. I towed the truck to my family's body shop and I removed the toolbox and everything inside. Later this week someone is coming to get my after market radio, and lightbars. We are hoping to get paid for wheels, tires and bumper. Hopefully they pay me good. Have to say this is one of the most helpful communities ever.

 

hey that's cool I went thru the same as you recently and got a used 2nd GEN and I am very happy with it, it will all work out just a lot of stress getting thru the process and not having the vehicle you know

 

Starting off it's wise to be on good terms. Sometimes though you have to be forceful, especially when they're trying to cheap out. I'm not saying be an ass, but insurance agents tend to put forth the least amount of work possible. At least that's whats happened everytime I've dealt with them
