Happy New Year everyone! Gotta go take a nap now - we have a neighborhood group that gets together around 9pm and stays up to see the new year in. Bunch of old coots too!

I ain't scared, but I am actually glad I'm old! Sure looks like the s*** will hit the fan somewhere down the road, sooner or later! EVERYTHING seems to be like a volcano, pressure building up and finally BOOM!
19 trillion in debt, and app. 120 trillion in underfunded liabilities as of now is NOT GOOD, not to mention what is going on with the disaster in the Middle East and multiple other countries, N korea with Nukes is also scary and WHEN Iran ends up with them (any bets), things could turn bad fast!
HUMMM, maybe should be afraid, but for now I'm optimistic!

That's, like, 139,000,000,000,007 *more* things to worry about, above and beyond all the crap I'm already worrying about like whether to have a light beer or a dark beer with dinner tonight?!?

 

Yup, lots of very important things to worry about; like I may not get a deer, which gr. bullets to load for the AR, what height to mount the jet, and hope the local store don't run out of my favorite cigars, just to name a few!

 

Had to plow the driveway this morning. got 2" last night.

That ain't good, be careful!
Still chasing a tick toter around, plenty of sign where I'm hunting but haven't see a tail. Been going out in the morning, today will try afternoon till dark, got a feeling they are moving at night though.

 

Carl, picked up a new rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and first time in the woods with it Tuesday afternoon harvested a nice doe.

Was using the new Hornady 143 gr. ELD-X Precision Hunter ammo. Cannot believe that projectile has a B.C. Of .623.
Good luck with your hunting. We have through Feb. 10th. Before the season ends.

Congrats on getting a deer Gary !
I went out till dark yesterday and didn't see a fresh track in the area I saw decent sign a couple days ago, they're hiding. We have next week yet and then it's over.
Not familiar with the 6.5 Creedmoor, heard of it but that's about it. I have the 6.5 Rem. Magnums, I shoot 129gr Hornadys out of them and have had good results on deer, plus it's very accurate out of my 600 and 660 Remingtons.

Just thinking, where's Duane!
